Malbec

Great location, great space for our purpose (celebration of life for my late wife), lots of room for people interaction. On the down side the gym area was dirty and littered with bugs, the hot tub was green and of little interest in the state it was in, the water had a unwelcome odor.All told and with that in mind, we hope to rent the property again perhaps next summer.

Highly Recommend

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Malbec! The house was beautiful inside and out. It has a big yard, new hot tub, and plenty of things to do in the house. The hosts were extremely accommodating and easy to get a hold of. We would love to stay again in the future!

Secluded Weekend Retreat

I had booked this place for a bachelorette party over the weekend. The house was gorgeous, the kitchen was spacious with a large dining table to seat everybody in the party; which was great for gathering to play board games. The place was clean, and the secluded location made our stay peaceful.

Friends Getaway

Overall we enjoyed our stay here! It was a good space to gather and enjoy eachothers company. The bed sizes were a bit smaller than we anticipated but there were still plenty of places to sleep. Make sure to bring your own wood for the sauna and firepit, we had to make a few runs into town for that. But overall good experience and I would stay again.

We had a girls weekend and enjoyed our stay in Somerset! Quick drive to Stillwater - beautiful property with great amenities and space, Joseph was great and easy to work with.

Due to heavy rain before our stay, we had some questions about activities we had planned during the stay, and our host was great about making recommendations and flexibility as a result. We are looking forward to staying again.

Great family setup, problems with stay

They have a lot of amenities to make a family gathering nice. We had multiple issues during our stay. The indoor hot tub had a significant leak and got the carpet wet in the bedroom and adjacent hallway. It created a noticeable smell when entering the house, and was unbearable in the basement area where one of the bedrooms was located. The owner was aware of the leak and carpet being wet before arrival. Told us it was leaking but not about the carpet and odor. Had to have him drain the tub and try to dry the carpet. It stayed wet until the day before we departed. Half of the house has no heat from the main furnace and the boiler for that area was not on. Using the master bath shower caused significant water leaks from the ceiling of the bathroom below. We stopped using that shower because we didn’t want the ceiling crashing down during our stay. He was aware of previous reports about this leak. The microwave was very close to falling down. He did a temporary fix to secure it. This house should not be rented until the water issues and mold or musty smell is eliminated. There were signs of water migration up the drywall. There is definitely mold in there. There has to be mold under the upstairs shower. We had to wash all of our clothes when we got home because it had the musty smell even though we stayed two floors up. We were refunded about 1/4 of the cost of the stay.

Family gathering

Great place for the varied ages of the kids! The games were loved by some, the piano was fabulous, the tv game room was great!! Those of us using the kitchen liked the openness and the views of the trees!

Annual golf trip group.

Worked out well as centrally located to golf courses. Located out enough so we didn’t disturb anyone. Didn’t take advantage of some of the amenity's like hot tub & Gym but seemed like a good option. Close enough to Somerset or Hudson to drive into town to check out local area. Only issue was no gas in the outside fire pit so had to exchange out but not a huge deal. Overall a good experience.

Relaxing getaway

This is a wonderful property! The house has everything you could need for a relaxing getaway, and the host went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as can be. The location feels secluded and yet it is conveniently located for a short commute. We highly recommend this listing!

Great getaway

My family was looking for a quiet spring getaway and this place was perfect. Kitchen was perfectly stocked, and the entertainment amenities were enjoyed by all. We would highly recommend staying here!

Weekend getaway!

This house is huge with a great location. Close to Stillwater. We stayed here so we were close to Cedar Lake Arena for dirt biking. Host was very helpful.

New property, great for tweens/teens

This was the first time they rented this property. The potential is great! Just a few things they are working through but we accomplished our goal, to relax and do nothing as a busy family with 2 teens in sports. Lots of great activities in the house we spent our time with, billiards, movie room, video games. Work out room we all used. And super close to Stillwater for a day away. Looking forward to seeing how they keep making this place even better! Truly, for a family with tweens and above, this is perfect! Note for those with little ones, the workout bldg is separate from the house, so would need a good baby monitor if you want to sneak out during nap time.
