The location was perfect for us, as it is an easy walk to the local shops/ bakery, and accessible to the main climbing areas (though some may find it a little noisy on the weekend evenings as it is on the main street). “We stayed for 9 days to relax, visit Paris and boulder in Fontainebleau forest. Gîte du Val D’auneau was the perfect base. Incredibly spacious, private and well appointed, we didn’t want for anything. Excellent pool area kept the kids happy for hours a the lovely covered outdoor dining area was a wonderful place to eat. Andréa and Philippe were the perfect hosts, they answered a questions promptly but allowed our privacy. Very highly recommended ”
