We stayed at Leonardo Hotel Southampton for 3 nights and unfortunately, the experience was far below expectations—especially disappointing given that this is advertised as a 4-star hotel. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, making it hard to get a good night's sleep. There was no parking available, which added unnecessary stress to our trip.
Housekeeping didn’t clean our room during the entire stay. The area around the hotel didn’t feel safe for children, and the location is right on a busy road with no pedestrian crossing nearby, which made getting around on foot quite difficult.
We also reported that the bathroom extractor fan wasn’t working, but this was completely ignored by staff. Even more frustrating, our room key fob stopped working every single time we left the room, forcing us to go back to Reception to get it reactivated again and again.
All in all, the experience was miles worse than what you'd expect from a hotel claiming to be 4 stars. Would not recommend.
