“We stayed here before and have always been really happy. This time the food in the restaurant was doughy batter on fish for our fish and chips. We raised this with staff and was told they would speak to chef. We had to pay full price and no apology so didn't bother eating in restaurant again. The hotel is well placed, excellent rooms, lovely staff, just the one bad meal. ”

“Staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was okay but carpet needed a good hoover over and the door frame looked like it had been forced open and was hard to lock the door at night. When you had the balcony door open and it was breezy you had this high pitched whistling sound come through the room and exit through the gap in the door frame . ”

“Very friendly place, very busy in bar area but accommodation separate (& quiet 😊👍)… enjoyed looking round the bar area after breakfast next day, lots of interesting items/photos etc and nice to be away from the ‘corporate’ feel that most hotels seem to have these days. I’m sure we’ll be back.”
