“Excellent experience in Mary-Ann's Porarrigs hotel, i booked the single room, think it's worth the price, the breakfast is very very good to be honest, i like the living room there, nice and comfortable. the place - Longyearbyen, i would love to go there again if possible, it's amazing.”

“Staff was very hospitable and the surroundings were serene. However the location is slightly far away from the town centre. Without any transport, at least 30 minutes of walk is needed to get to the town centre”

“Basecamp is a stunning property and gives the authentic feel of a base camp ie no tv, phones, or wardrobes in bedrooms. The breakfast had great variety and eggs Benedict was a popular request. The only downside for me as a sole traveller in a triple room was that I had to pay the full price. There are no facilities such as a sauna or pool - but this is the high Arctic so I'm not sure if any accommodation has these facilities! Staff were wonderful - friendly and super helpful. ”
