We arrived at 9:30pm, and our room was not ready. I had reserved the room about 6 months ahead. We had to wait twenty minutes to get in to our room. The room wreaked of smoke. So disappointing. PLEASE CONSIDER OTHER OPTIONS.

Had to run water for a half hour to 1 hour to get it clear. Nobody ever in the office had to call them to check in and check out. I had to empty my own trash and call them to get trash bags.

Very interesting diamond in the rough. Outside appearance would suggest a single star. But....the staff, layout, accommodations and 'home town' comfort of the rooms WELL make up for it! Would recommend this location to family, friends, or anyone coming to the area! Only downside....during my stay...the steakhouse is closed for renovations. So had to drive 3 minutes to get food.

This property was very old, I think it was a extended stay lawn chairs out front and a table with an ashtray on it one resident with a very large dog and another guy was bringing in groceries from food lion I could see into his dingy room it look like he live there. The picture on the website is not clear up close that place is a real dump, my wife and I just left we didn't even check in. I just hope they use that 131$ I lost and clean that place up.

The outside area of the hotel still needs some work. They are currently in the process of updating the rooms due to new ownership. I didn't have any towels in the room, but rectified quickly. One of the employees (John) gave me a ride to and from a wedding that I was for. Everyone was nice at the hotel. No issues.

Average but terrible Experience

Pros: 1. They are very helpful guys, they gave us an extra heater as the room heater wasn’t running properly. 2. Its right next to lake and if you like country side and landscapes then there’s a lot to explore 3. Rooms and all the furniture are new. Rooms are exactly like you see in the photos. Cons: 1. Housekeeping is not done on daily basis. 2. Our clothes went missing in the room after the first and last cleaning. 3. Bed and furniture is not sturdy maybe because of new business. 4. You won’t find anyone on helpdesk all the time, maybe because it’s a motel. So probably I made a mistake by believing that it’s a hotel. Remember it’s just a motel

An overnight stop

Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was renovated and clean. Hotel deceiving from outside. There is a restaurant attached to hotel but were only serving burgers during our stay. Found a great Italian restaurant close by - Vic’s. Only negative was the strong smell of deodorizer (perfume-like) in the room.
