“This house has the qualities of a classic Kiwi bach, with some well-conceived improvements. The view onto the water is stunning, and the extended deck plus generous windows and ranch sliders make allowed us to enjoy this on fine and wet days. The wood heater was stocked with plenty of firewood. The large new shower was great although our 90yr old mother needed a handhold. The split level floors were a challenge for her walker, and a handhold in the toilet would have been helpful. However the……

“A great place to stay for a couple... and, in our case, two small dogs. Everything you need, although no freezer or laundry facility. The fridge is a wine fridge but it's huge and was plenty big enough for our needs. Tons of room, excellent bathroom, comfortable bed, wifi, large tv. Easy access to Havelock and Queen Charlotte Sound, Blenheim, Picton, and Rapara Beach (no good for swimming but awesome ruggedness), plus heaps of wineries to explore.”

“A lovely spacious home comfortable and warm. No cupboard storage for our own food was a slight problem. Handy to walks and the Picton shops. I would recommend this accommodation for any large family gathering. Unusual that there was no aerial for normal TV reception. A great selection of DVD's that were watched instead.”

“We stayed here with our extended family over a long weekend. The views from the bach were the main reason why we booked and they did not disappoint. The cleanliness of the Bach was not great on arrival, it was clear that only a surface level clean had been done for some time. The bunk bed is very squeaky, which didn’t help when trying to get the kids to sleep. Good location with only a short walk to the jetty and waterfront. ”

The only time there was any delay was when they were waiting to hear from other parties (e.g., cleaners). The house was well supplied and had magical views. St Omer Bay was nice walk from the house and a lovely beach to spend the day at. Hope to return another time.”
