It’s a typical “extended stay hotel.” It’s what one should expect accommodations wise. One Elevator was not working and made for unusually long waits for the elevator but such is life. One staff member, Sherries, at front desk, was exceptional. Another who’s name we aren’t sure how to spell (Zohol?) was fine throughout our stay as we had little contact however, when we discovered we had a flat tire in the hotel garage, and sought a late check out the next day as we were going to have to contend with it then, she told us our check out could not go past 1 pm and we I sought longer knowing what all had to occur with getting a fire on a holiday Monday, she said the room would be $50 an hour until we left.
We had just stayed 3 days and felt that was uncalled for given the circumstances. We were dependent on a tow truck, a tire shop and an uber to all fall into place just right on a holiday Monday (tire was flat on a Sunday and we could not get a new one until
Monday but Monday was Presidents’ Day). We were looking for 2 pm.
Obviously all unusual circumstances resulting in us scrambling to make it all work so we sought the hotels help and got the hard line from the person at the desk. We weren’t out of our room right at 1 pm (we left at 1:30) and were charged $75 by way of withholding a portion of our security deposit. We were shocked. Unacceptable and hardly a customer oriented business. We will never return and would not recommend this specific hotel.
