“We stayed three nights for a wine-tasting getaway and a trip to Monticello. Everything is close by, the wineries and Monticello. The lovely little town of Scotsville has wonderful restaurants and a terrific coffeeshop/bakery with muffins, scones and delicious quiche. The farm is wonderful with dogs and cattle and a firepit! The living room is quite comfortable for late night chats and the kitchen is fully functional! What a nice time! The hosts are terrific and friendly and willing to help steer……

“The home was beautiful and much bigger than advertised. There was 13 acres to the property with a beautiful pond and boathouse. We were celebrating my granddaughter‘s birthday and my great granddaughter‘s birthday. There was a lot for the children to do however, there was a lot of personal items around, a great deal of our time was spent telling young kids don’t touch. There was old food left in the refrigerator that had expired. The trashcan hadn’t been emptied and was left in the garage. There……

The hostess is the best… The history around the property is phenomenal… Not verified, but believed that Thomas Jefferson stayed here as the original builder of the home was married to Thomas Jefferson‘s daughter… The peace and quiet and restfulness are tangible… Already recommending this place to other people… If you want to see some wonderful history where the country reunited, and if you want to reunite with God, his creation yourself……
