“The apartment is a little outdated but comfortable and located within walking distance of everything in Christiansted. During my stay a few small things arose, which Michael, the owner, took care of immediately. There was a power outage (common for St. Croix) and it destroyed the router. I needed to work, so I needed the internet. Michael was able to get a new router installed and had me up and running before the day was over. He was an unbelievable host. “Overall we had a nice time. The only thing l would suggest is to have a deep clean of the entire downstairs (kitchen, curtains & furniture included). The location was PERFECT for us. I never touched bases with the property manager. However, the upstairs hosts did such a great job of supplying everything we asked for/needed. All the best to the next guests.”

“What I loved most was bc this was a quick 3 night stay from STT to STX, I couldn’t bring much on cape air, what I couldn’t bring, this lovely host surprisingly had all the essentials I needed to make my stay comfortable and had a lovely time on her home island. When our flight got delayed and we got in late, they were still there to greet us and help us find a place to eat. Any questions we had, they were quick to respond. It was like staying with close friends or family. We will definitely come back.”

“Poor communication! Jaymes needs to step back and let the lady do the business, because after all, this is a service. You pay for it. Nobody wants to drop “an unspecified amount of cash”, but still more than the cost of many hotels, to be told they should have just gotten a hotel because the host will only send coordinates which for whatever reason will not work with every guest’s phone’s maps. Then I was told I could get a refund, whenever VRBO gets around to it, as if I should have spent my……

“We loved the Mary Read! It's close enough to downtown Christiansted that you can walk to all the shops and restaurants, but sits outside the main action by a block, so it's quiet enough to get a good night's sleep. We stayed for a week and took advantage of many of the unit's facilities including the onsite laundry and loner equipment for the beach. We would definitely stay here again!”
