Mixed feelings about this hotel.
First, the good. The hotel is (for Switzerland at least) not extortionately priced in terms of the room, which is modern and clean.
Also, the lady working on reception (she was from Kefalonia) was great. Very helpful and friendly.
However, her male colleague was far from as customer service oriented.
When I queried the parking situation, after having done multiple laps of the roads around the hotel looking for the garage, I ended up parking outside the hotel to ask them where the garage is - he looked at me like I was an alien and said I needed to check in first & they don’t tell you where the car park is before then!
All very secretive and bizarre. Plus parking is expensive at 20 CHF per night, as is the vending machine (4.5 CHF for a Coke!)
When I said that they should give this info before a guest arrives at the property, in order to save them time and stress looking for a parking garage that isn’t well signposted or accessible at that stage, he again looked at me like I was an alien and it was clear he was about as flexible as concrete with his opinion on this.
Also, the hotel has a crazy rule where guests must book breakfast the day in advance, which, having stayed in many B&B hotels throughout Europe, is an exception to normal with this chain.
Finally, the air conditioning didn’t work in my room. I considered going to discuss this but given my experiences, i wondered if he might say I needed to book it a week in advance!
