Newly Built 2021 - Bayfront- Pool -Dock - Elevator - Short Walk to Beach

Peaceful Haven is a newly constructed 2800 sq. ft. Bayfront home with spectacular sunset views from your choice of decks or private dock. Come visit our home nestled in nature in the gated community of The Plantation.

Peaceful Haven is private, has great views of the beautiful Apalachicola Bay and is less than a five minute walk (1100 feet) to the beach so that you will experience the best of both worlds.
Pull under the house into the carport and unload without having to worry about weather. From there, you have keyless entry access to the First Floor living area and can use the elevator to bring in luggage if needed.

The first floor has the first Master King Suite. On the same level is a spacious kitchen to entertain family and share a meal, then lounge on the 2 large sofas or swivel chairs. Living room has a 60 inch Smart TV(to use Apps Available with guest personal account), YouTubeTV and free wifi.

You can enjoy the bay views either from inside or walk onto the large screened in deck.
Kitchen is filled with plenty of tableware and serving dishes. Several handy small specialty appliances and tools available for any chef or baker. The dining table is large with comfortable chairs.
Half bathroom is adjacent to the kitchen.

Second Level Living 3 Bedrooms:
BR 2- Another Master King Suite - Tempurpedic King Bed. Walks out onto large covered porch overlooking the bay. 50 inch Smart TV, large private bathroom with walk-in shower and double sinks, separate toilet.
BR 3- Queen size bedroom looks out into the large deck and bay. 50 inch Smart TV, private shower and bathroom.
BR 4- Bunk bed Room - Has 2 Bunk Beds - Twin over twin and Twin over Full Bed. 40 inch Smart TV. Full bathroom with tub/shower is just across the hall. Walkout to the 2nd floor deck is at the end of the hall.
Sitting area with couch and 50 inch Smart Tv on second floor landing.

Relax in your own private pool (MUST ARRANGE AND PAY PRIOR TO VISIT - can be heated for a fee of $500/week, $300 for 2 days plus $40/day after)- Pool will not be heated if outdoor temperature during a 24 hour period averages below 60 degrees F or warmer than 80 degrees F.
Wash off sand in the hot/cold outdoor shower. Small outdoor sink and prep table for cleaning.
Dock with boat lift available upon request for ease of launch and storing of your boat for fishing.
Walk out onto the private dock and watch the mullet jump, beautiful sunsets or you may even be lucky enough to see dolphin or manta rays.

Sorry. NO PETS ALLOWED. If rule is violated, renters will be asked to vacate immediately and will be required to pay for deep professional steam cleaning of furniture, upholstery , flooring and rugs.

Once you stay here you will know why we call it our Peaceful Haven.

Each reservation is required to pay a $100 gate entrance fee and complete a Plantation Rental Agreement. You will then have access to all of the amenities including 2 pools, 2 tennis and 3 pickle ball courts, fitness center, nature trails and access to Bob Sikes Cut and Nicks Hole.
Maximum number of guests is 11, including children. No exceptions.
Elevator is for Service use only - transporting luggage and groceries into the home or for those guests who cannot walk up and down stairs.

We have outdoor cameras to monitor for security and weather. The pool is not monitored for your privacy.

7 night special - 5% off to Military, Police, Firefighters, EMT & Coast Guard personnel and repeat Guests. "Thank you for your service" - Please provide proof of your service.

Paradise at Peaceful Haven
I booked this property without reading the reviews. Once I read the reviews, I was even 10x more excited to bring our family there. Gina was exceptionally communicative and so very nice! I encourage everyone to spend time on the pier - both at night and during the day. We loved seeing the wildlife in the bay when the sun was high in the sky. We didn't kayak as much as we'd hoped to, so we'll just have to go again. In the mornings our daughter brought her baby to the end to nurse her and have some peaceful time before everyone woke up. In the evenings, we loved fishing off the dock and watching the fish jump. We thoroughly enjoyed the bikes and they were all in great condition - as were the beach chairs! The house though....Oh my! Every single detail was perfection! We loved the high ceilings, the oversized island (which we used every bit of it), the large table that fit our entire family, the rooms were roomy and oh so comfortable! I'm very picky with my bed and it was better than my bed at home. The bathrooms were large and beautiful. The kitchen was so well stocked!! Including things that we normally have to buy or bring - paper towels, toilet paper, shampoo conditioner, dish soap... Gina, thank you so much for our fabulous family vacation. As we were evacuating because of Helene, we were so melancholy for the island that we all fell in love with! Your home is so well built, we know it will withstand Helene. We look forward to many more stays in your gorgeous home!

Peaceful Haven exceeds expectations
Wow! Our family had a fabulous time in Saint George. Peaceful Haven was the perfect property for our family of 10. The kitchen was stocked with all the kitchenware we needed to prepare large meals. We used the grill several times and it worked perfectly. Each family had a bathroom to themselves and an extra bath with a tub for our 4 grands. The outdoor areas were so nice. The grands loved the pool. My son in law spent many hours fishing from the pier. The adults enjoyed playing games on the screened porch after the kids went to bed. The beach is about a quarter mile away (easy walk even for the 2 year old). The beds were very comfortable and the home was immaculately clean. The sunset views from the upper deck were simply gorgeous! Who could ask for more!

Best Vacation Home Ever
Absolutely fantastic home in a terrific location! Suggest future guests read the details of previous reviews as they are all positive and all accurate. One thing I didn't see in other reviews is to spend time walking slowly back and forth on the super long dock and you will see all kinds of awesome sea creatures. Gina and her family have done an incredible job designing and building their home and they thought of everything to make it the very best for guests. Thank you for sharing your home!

What A Great Stay and Home
So this is just a loud ditto!! mostly to all the other reviews. Location: Wonderful and very quiet for us. Close to the beach and to Sikes Cut. But we love the bayside generally...just quieter and more relaxing overall and Peaceful Haven was just that. House: The home is being kept in terrific condition and is wonderfully appointed and clean. Plenty of space for our family of 6. Having both an open and screened porches was really nice for enjoying the outdoors and morning coffee. Pool, Amenities: The pool is a great size and the pool area is very inviting for lounging and enjoying some sun. We got the kayak and bike option through Gina and it was well worth it...all were in great shape which is not easy thing on the coast. Plenty of space to clean fish and wash off after a trip to the beach. The Week: With the extra long pier, we had some of the best fishing we've had at SGI in years. One red (ya!) and lots of catfish with some pinfish in between. And lovely sunset views. We also had a big storm brew up in the gulf while we were there. Lots of rain and near 50mph winds overnight and the house was absolutely rock solid. Host: Ms. Gina is so great. Her communication and care in the small things really sets this home apart. We've been coming to SGI for 30 years and Gina really stands out as a caring and great host. We do hope to come back.

Peaceful Haven
We had an amazing stay at Gina's house. The house was beautiful, clean, stocked with essentials, great location, really I could on and on! We really enjoyed the private pool along with the beautiful dock. The sunsets we enjoyed on the dock will never be forgotten. Excellent communication with Gina. Check in and check out process was simple without issues. We hope to return to Gina's beautiful home someday!

Wonderful property!
We had a lovely stay at Peaceful Haven. House was open, spacious and beautifully decorated. It was great the owners had some essentials available and they were very responsive. The views were incredible and the beach was just a short nature trail walk away. We made a great decision to rent the chairs, kayaks and bikes. Pool was inviting and great after hours at the beach. Gorgeous property!

Family Vacation
Our family has vacationed in SGI for years. This was the first time we stayed on the bay side and it was wonderful. The boys fished and crabbed from the dock. We saw sharks and stingrays everyday. The house was beautiful.

“HEAVEN SENT” Peaceful Haven!!!
It actually makes me emotional writing this review to think that we (our family) were so blessed to have this time at this house! Staying on the bayside is just so calming, beautiful & picturesque. Have stayed in the Plantation over the years beachside & saw this house on VBRO & decided to check it out. ABSOLUTELY OUR MOST FAVORITE STAY!!! The homeowner was in contact keeping us abreast of weather conditions or any assistance that we might be in need of. Great correspondence & genuine. I cannot say enough good things about our experience. Come visit for yourself, you won’t be disappointed & see why it has such an appropriate house name.. MANY Thank You’s from our whole family

This bayfront home is beautiful. The interior is stunning. Comfortable beds, Kitchen and dining area well thought out. We loved the screened in porch. Super easy to kayak from the backyard to the bay. Having a private pool is an added bonus. I appreciated the elevator as my mobility fluctuates on a day to day basis. We have been to SGI many times and this home is easily our favorite. Great communication with property owner too. We saw dolphins, a blue heron, the brown pelicans and a juvenile eagle while staying here. We also enjoyed watching the sun set while sitting on the bench at the end of the dock. Do not hesitate to rent this property.😊

Fishing Paradise
A bald eagle greeted us on our arrival. The house has a beautiful layout with a wonderful chef’s kitchen which came in handy when some bad weather blew in. Dock takes you 300 feet into the bay where you can watch stingrays swim, hermit crabs crawl, and fish jump. The heated pool was a pleasure to enjoy and the kayaks gave us an amazing experience of the bay. The bikes allowed us to get to the gym and pickle ball courts easily. Thank you for providing such a wonderful house. We will definitely be coming back. We definitely recommend the property.

Wonderful Week
The property was brand new, well-appointed, beautiful, and close to the beach. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, riding bikes, and cooking. The elevator was a plus for luggage and groceries, and the views were phenomenal. This is probably the best VRBO I’ve ever rented, and Gina was so very helpful :)

Absolutely amazing!
I just stayed here with 3 other adults and 5 children. We would highly recommend staying here! You can watch the sunset off the dock and it’s a short 5 minute walk to the beach to watch the sunrise. The kids also enjoyed playing in the pool. The house was beautiful, clean, and has 5 bathrooms. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need. I enjoyed sitting on the deck having coffee and reading. My husband spent hours fishing off the dock. The kids kayaked in the bay. The property manager Gina was great with communication. She responded quickly and even sent messages about storm warnings in the area. You won’t be disappointed staying here.

Perfect Home for a Family Vacation on the Bay
We’ve been visiting SGI for the last 30 years and the views from Peaceful Haven were the best we’ve experienced. Whether sunrise, midday, or sunset…the views of the bay were absolutely gorgeous! The home itself is simply beautiful, both inside and out, and well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. The service elevator was a blessing for my elderly father who struggles with stairs, and this made his trip so much more enjoyable. There was plenty of room for our family of eight, and we had the best vacation. Added bonus that the owner was so kind, personable, and easy to work with. This home is private, quiet, serene, and truly lives up to its name…Peaceful Haven. We can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful Spot!
This property is beautiful. It’s new and very clean; it was perfect for our family including little ones. The owners have thought of everything; the kitchen is extremely well stocked with all types of cooking and serving pieces.. The spot is very serene and we so enjoyed the natural setting. The sunsets were simply amazing. If you are looking for a retreat from the busyness of life, this is your place! We will definitely go back!

Special home!
The property is newly built, and is very nicely decorated! The location of the home is perfect: bayside dock for fishing and kayaking; 7 min walk to the beach, either through a short nature trail or on the street. The community has many amenities, but we didn’t use them. Pool was perfect! Pro-tip: beach in the morning and then pool after noon so the sun warms the water. Gorgeous sunsets from the 3rd floor deck. Host was AWESOME with communication and fixing any of the minor issues we had very quickly. We are already considering going back!!! The family had an excellent time (age ranges 1.5 - 67). Definitely recommend!!!!

Perfect Vacation
Immaculate house in perfect location great for family gatherings. We loved our stay here and would absolutely come back. When the beach sun was too hot, we'd retire to our private pool or fishing on the dock. The house was very clean and perfect for our family getting back together after COVID.

Peaceful Haven is so appropriately named. The house was beautiful and fit all 11 of us easily. We enjoyed fishing off the deck and watching the sun rise and set. Easy walk to the beach! Perfect vacation!
