“Excellent stay with family, staff were all amazing particularly as we were travelling with my father in law that lost his wife 2 weeks prior to our trip. The rooms were of a great standard especially with our 17 yr old, we particularly liked the additional adjoining bedroom in the family which made the stay more comfortable. “Lovely stay at the Royal Hotel. Staff were very friendly, room was fine, beds not the most comfortable, maybe a little too warm. Location a short walk from center of town. Breakfast selection was very good, as it was out of season it was not a buffet, but cooked to order. Free car parking is a big positive. Overall a good stay! ”

“The hotel is apparently closing soon which is a shame because we loved it. It was a bit quirky and old fashioned but very clean. The staff were superb and very friendly. The bar service and food quality was good. The position was excellent, convenient for the local restaurants and bus station. You can easily reach it by bus from the airport too. We stayed for six nights with friends and we all had a great time.”

“The pool has literal lumps of black dirt on the tiles, it hasn’t been cleaned for a long time. The jacuzzi is the same temperature as the pool and also dirty. No shower facilities after the “swim” Run down hotel, breakfast staff were just there, never said good morning, no interaction from any staff actually. Won’t be staying there again. ”

“Great communication of how to access the property before we arrived. Very easy to check in and find our room. Nice large apartment, spotlessly clean with a very well equiped kitchen. And little touches like the carton of fresh milk in the fridge were a very welcome touch. The only negative we had was that renovations were taking place in the apartment above ours. And whilst we totally understand that renovations need to take place, workmen starting at 7.30am with heavy banging and drilling……
