The hotel seems to run out of items all the time. Also the pool is falling apart needs repairs. The liquor also always running out of certain items. Would not recommend this property to anyone

We received an email to complete a pre-check, which we did. However, upon arrival, check-in took about an hour. We were promised a complimentary bottle of wine for the wait, but it never arrived. Additionally, the staff was not friendly; in fact, some were rude. The bars frequently ran out of drinks and other items. The mini refrigerator in our room was only stocked once during our stay, and we had to remind them for that refill. Overall, we received only one instance of helpfulness during check-in from Celine, and the bartender at the lobby bar was also pleasant. Unfortunately, the cleanliness of our room and bathroom was below average. Overall I give the resort 2 out 5.

This hotel should not be considered 5 star! My room was dysfunctional, not enough outlets USB ports; and the bathroom shower stall did not have a shelf to hold shampoo, conditioner and soap, I had to place my stuff on the floor of the shower? Some of the bath towels were old, dingy and rough. The mini bar consist of drinks only.. no snacks. The entertainment each night was like middle school performance at best. The food was mediocre and subpar. However, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The beach and pool was ok. For a Royalton Marriott all-inclusive resort, I was not impressed with the hotel and unfortunately would not return or recommend to family and friends.

Royalton Chic was everything and more! My husband and I went for a quick romantic getaway and we had just that and so much more. The food was great! The drinks were top notch! The entire resort was nicely decorated and clean. Great music and most importantly the most professionally, polite, and friendly staff!

Resort is beautiful, pool areas and staff are great. Food at the restaurants were just ok. Stayed there for 5 days and really enjoyed myself. Food truck options were good

I loved the property and most of the staff! I would've given this resort 5stars but the manager at check-in told us that we'll have 2 beds because all of the king beds are gone as she assign the rooms based on occupancy. It was my 35th birthday and it was my husband and I. Not sure how that warrants 2 beds instead of 1. HORRIBLE CHECK IN!

Enjoyed my stay here , the food at the restaurants is delicious and have a large variety, the activities during the day and evening provide entertainment to elevate your stay, the transportation crew is super friendly and helpful in taking you anywhere you’d like to go off of the resort … THE STAFF IS THE BEST (so many to name) Aja, Dwight, Jim, Jashawn (sp), Lorenzo Ashana, Rackel, Siyah, Jahvoni, Timothy, Devon, Joseph, Kareem, Marlon, Nickel, James, the list goes on ! The staff makes the stay worthwhile !

I would never do another stay at any of the Royaltons. I’ve stayed in Mexico and didn’t care for it. I decided to give this one a try. Yeah it was worse here. Called because my ac wasn’t working in our room. It was so hot. There isn’t enough restaurants on site. Not only is there not enough restaurants there wasn’t enough staff at the restaurant. Waiting on food is just not a thing I’m use to. Some of the staff had attitudes and that was irritating in itself. I’m very disappointed because I thought I would have a pleasant stay. The food wasn’t good at all. Still upset about not having air for half of my stay. They gave us the run around for everything. We made the best out of the situation. But the royalton isn’t for me.

Friendly but very unorganized. Room not ready upon check in. Told to go pick up our costumes for carnival and our room would be ready when we got back. Still a wait when we got back and I was not feeling well. We were then taken to our room by the bell boy instead of our butler i might add. We complained to the head butlers multiple times with no resolution. Food was okay but we only got the chance to eat at the buffet. Aside from the one butler we had trouble with the rest of the staff was exceptional and Chris was very attentive when he was on shift.

Staffing is definitely a factor that needs work as I was told one thing by staff and other guests where allowed to do the opposite. Dress codes should applied to all and no staff should snatch anything from a guests .

My flight was delayed, so I arrived close to midnight. A staff member in a pink shirt helped check me in. I overheard another guest complaining she was placed in the wrong room and felt uneasy. That made me double-check mine and I found I was placed in a garden view room, not the luxury pool view I paid for. The room smelled musty, had mosquitoes on the ceiling, and had double beds instead of the king I booked. I requested a change and was told the room was being switched. When I arrived, I asked to see it, and although they insisted my items had been moved, they hadn’t. I’m glad I checked. The new room had a pool view and king bed, but again, the musty smell lingered. The minibar only had one Fanta. I asked for water which never came. After following up the next day, it was eventually restocked. Staff seemed to try, but lacked training and info. I doubt they’re happy with current management. The spa was excellent – 10/10. The breakfast buffet was repetitive with no variety. Dinner at Hunter’s was disappointing – 5/10. Drinks at the bar were good. The hotel is in a great location, but I wouldn’t return. Too many small issues added up, and it didn’t feel like the luxury experience I expected.
