Unresponsive host and No access to property
Our rental of this property was a horror story. The owner did not contact us or respond to any of our emails. Contacted VRBO to get in touch with host with no success. We had to go to the property and find that there was no way to get into the house. The host continues to not respond to us or VRBO. We ended up having to stay in a hotel after communicating with VRBO for two hours. VRBO did pay for a one day hotel stay, but did not contact us the next day to give us an update on rebooking or a refund. We had to call them and argue with them for another two hours before they sent us a written verification that we would have our money refunded. We are now waiting to see if VRBO will actually hold true to their promises.
