The staff is what makes this place truly special. They are very friendly and helpful across the board. We stayed multiple days and had friendly encounters with front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff. One of the bartenders learned our names the first night and greeted us by name the rest of our stay each time we walked through.
The Doubletree is probably the most recovered of any of the other local hotels or resorts in N Redington beach from the Hurricane, with pool, restaurant and Tiki bar all functioning.
Our room was clean, with a great balcony view. The restaurant and bar were lively, but not disruptive after hours. The beach sand is some of the best in Florida, cleaned and raked daily from what we could tell. There are 3rd party vendors for beach chairs that will charge your room for convenience, and jet ski rentals as well.
This hotel has all you need, with a restaurant that also serves Starbucks all day and great menus and service. The outdoor Tiki area has extended bar seating facing the beach with plenty of shade, and varying entertainment day and night. The hotel is positioned between Clearwater and St. Pete beaches, so both are within a short drive.
There are plenty of restaurants close by, but we enjoyed the food at Coconut Charlies as much as anywhere we ate outside the hotel.
Our only regret was not booking a longer trip. Looking forward to returning.
