I originally booked an ocean view room with two queen beds room (506). The moment we got to the lobby and received our room key cards, we were told we had to walk thru the parking garage and follow the arrows to another building to get to our room. Which was very strange to not stay in the same building as the hotel you booked. After following instructions and getting to our room, the room was nicely prepared. Once I got to the balcony to enjoy the ocean view, I was shocked. On the ground level, they had yellow barricades all around and it was very loud as they were doing construction! I am here on vacation to relax, not listen to workers working construction! I immediately went to the lobby and requested a room change. My request was granted and I was given a pool side view instead of the ocean view. Which I didn’t really mind, but I felt I should have been refunded something as the ocean view room is more expensive than the pool side view.
Our room was changed to room (913). The room looked great, everything was fine in the room. But there was a bottom piece railing missing! Which wasn’t ideal as I had my two year old toddler with us and he’s very active. He could squeeze in thru the missing railing. So my wife and I were terrified and made sure to keep our eyes on him at all times.
At this point we didn’t even bother going to complain. But we would never stay at the Edge again!
