Decent place, improvements on the way

This property was pretty out-dated on the outside but our room was great. There was ongoing construction on some of the rooms on the first floor, so that looks promising. The pool was fine but nothing fancy. The laundry area felt like a creepy basement on the “bathroom” in the laundry area near the pool was a toilet behind a curtain. Our room was great. We had a two bedroom and the kitchen had everything we needed to make food and eat in our room which was a great savings. It was a short walk to the Publix. The public beach is right across the street and there is a cabana/umbrella rental there which is very convenient. My children’s favorite thing to do every morning was look out the back window of our room to see if there were dolphins in the water. We saw dolphins many times, as well as stingrays and lots of cool birds.

Westwinds was beautiful and clean. The kids had a great time in the pool and when visiting the beach across the street. They also enjoyed the fishing docks right behind the pool that were easily accessible. We were able to walk to Publix and other stores. Great experience!

The condo was tidy and comfortable, and had all the amenities needed for our stay. Still some work to be done due to storms, but nothing really impacting us.

The apartment was very nice. Beautiful view over the water. The pool was very nice. Laundry facilities were nice. The location was great. Just a 2 minute walk to the beach across the street. Loved it.

We stayed for 3 nights after travelling from the UK. The condo was on the 2nd floor with stair access. The place was very clean with a few provisions provided which was welcome. The beach is literally over the road, wonderful sand. Unfortunately at time of writing, (Jan 25) there is still an amount of hurricane damage which meant some restaurants etc were not open.

The hurricane/tornado damage obviously caused havoc in the whole area so a lot was closed and I expected that. The unit I stayed in was very nice and well maintained and felt very homey and comfortable. There was a lot of rehab going on. You can tell they take pride in the resort and are trying to get everything back to its former glory.

Das Westwinds Waterfront Resort hatte erst einen Tag vor unserer Ankunft nach der Abschaltung der Wasserversorgung wieder geöffnet. Die ersten Tage waren wir die einzigen Gäste. Wenn man bedenkt, was für Schäden die Hurricans Helene und Milton angerichtet hatten, war es eine enorme Leistung, das Resort überhaupt wieder so schnell öffnen zu können. Andere Hotels waren noch geschlossen. Da muss man auch Verständnis dafür haben, dass noch Handwerker die Räume im Erdgeschoss renovierten. Die Einrichtung der Wohnung war komplett, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Der Boden hätte sauberer sein können. Ansonsten war alles einwandfrei. Die Räume sind großzügig zugeschnitten, Handtücher ausreichend vorhanden. Die Lage des Resorts ist ausgezeichnet. Strand zu Fuß in zwei Minuten zu erreichen. Publix Market als Vollversorger ebenso. Wenn erst alle Restaurants wieder geöffnet sein werden, kann man fußläufig viele erreichen. Parkplatz direkt am Hotel sehr praktisch. St. Petersburg ist in fünf Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Clearwater Beach in 30 Minuten.

The condo was not cleaned. There was residue on the stove and counters and the toilet was filthy. There was mold all over the kitchen faucet and shower curtain. We ended up buying cleaner and lysol and cleaned and disinfested the place. We even bought sheets becsuse we were so skeeved out we did not trust that they had been clesned. Absolutely disgusting. We would have complained but we got there in the evening after driving up from ft. Lauderdale snd the office was closed do we just sucked it up and cleabed but would never book this properly again.

Booked as lots of 5star reviews and looked to be a hotel. It is a block of condos with mixed rental and owners in them. I guess we were given a rubbish one. The place was filthy, our room smelt of mould and smoke - like someone had smoked for years before, everything was musty. The beds were uncomfortable, the sofa bed was so bad (all you could feel were the springs) our two 9yr olds slept in the main bed with us each night. The shower head was black like it had never been cleaned. The pool was covered in sand on the bottom and had lots of debris floating in it. No one was ever around to speak to, ruined the end of our 3 week holiday.
