We recently stayed at Mafolie Hotel from July 18–21, 2025, and while we truly appreciated the kindness and professionalism of office staff, there were several aspects of our visit that did not meet our expectations.
To begin, we were not informed at the time of booking that the restaurant would be undergoing renovations. Dining on-site was something we were very much looking forward to, so learning of its closure upon arrival was disappointing. The limited poolside food options did not adequately make up for this and left us needing to seek meals elsewhere, which was inconvenient.
Additionally, the photos on the website appear to be outdated and no longer reflect the hotel’s current condition. We were surprised by the ongoing construction, dated interiors, and the overall atmosphere, which differed significantly from what had been advertised online.
We had also requested to have rooms near each other, as we were traveling as a group, but were assigned rooms in separate areas of the property. This made coordination during our stay unnecessarily challenging. Furthermore, we felt uneasy that the room doors lacked a secondary security feature such as a latch or chain.
