The whole area by the beach was overtaken by algae (that hotel does not clean) and the smell was awful. No dining options after 10pm. Rooms reachable by golf cart only since the buildings are on ver steep hills, but they would have 1 golf cart running to serve all the guests. The room hosts 4 people but it’s 1 queen bed and a sofa bed that no longer has foam left, you can feel the squeaky springs touching every part of your body and will wake up needing a chiropractor. Overall very old and outdated hotel.

The rooms were clean and spacious, beds were comfortable, great water pressure and lots of hot water. We wished that there were more dining options within the resort - to eat at Margaritaville was extremely expensive for how poor of quality the food and service was. They also automatically include 18% gratuity which we didn’t realize and the server did not tell us about so we ended up double tipping for poor service. Taxis are also expensive and if you wish for better quality food you will need a taxi to get it. This time of year (May) the seaweed at the resorts beach is horrible and smells (which we knew about), however, Coki beach is a just a short walk away and was one of our favorite beaches so that was a plus!

Great customer service and drinks. Need to have a better transporting system to get guests to/from their rooms 24 hrs a day not just until 11pm at night. Also, there was alot of seaweeds that causes an unbearable odor…… otherwise I truly enjoyed my stay!

Overall resort was nice. The biggest disappointment was not only the amount of seaweed on the beach but the rancid smell that blew into the restaurant and main pool. Also the rooms on the hillside requires a shuttle.

The property was far from everything. In order to get anywhere, you had to get transportation, which is very expensive. You had to walk up several flights of stairs to get to your room, and several more flights upstairs to get to the swimming pool. Room was in fair condition. Overall did not like the island or the hotel location.

We recently stayed at Margaritaville and overall had a great experience. The facility and grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. Although the seaweed made ocean swimming on-site difficult, the resort provided convenient golf cart rides around the property, which made getting around easy and enjoyable. I had read some negative reviews about the staff before our trip, but we personally experienced nothing but friendliness and helpfulness throughout our stay. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that Margaritaville offered a list of daily activities, which added to the fun. That said, I would have appreciated some live music or entertainment in the evenings to round out the experience. A highlight of our trip was the snorkeling excursion we took directly from the resort's dock-it was fantastic and definitely a must-do.

Place is out of date The ocean water was so dirty you couldn’t get in the water. The smell from the seaweed was so bad you couldn’t stand to even swim in the pool. Terrible location wouldn’t recommend unless you like walking up hills everyday.
