I spent 5 cozy nights at this property. The local owners thought of so many little touches that made my stay comfortable and uplifting (there for my mother's life celebration). From the natural, modern decor and design touches (stunning lobby artwork that brought the CT woods indoors) to the toiletries, the owners provided a luxury experience at a reasonable price.
There were lavish bathrobes, multiple choices of fresh coffees from around the world as well as exquisite teas in silk tea bags (yum!), and fresh fruit in a big bowl -- all available 24/7. Special room touches included dried flowers in vases, excellent, architecturally fitting tea kettle, (I'm going to try to find one like it for my home), and even polished river stones set out in a zen design on the desk adding to my unique hotel stay by the river. The staff was friendly and helpful and the rooms spotless. In contrast I spent a night at a marriott hotel in Newark where not a special touch could be found at $100 more per night than the Watershed.
Highly recommended.
