Our newly renovated 1-bedroom log cabin is designed for couples looking for a romantic escape. The open floor plan features a large stone fireplace, a new log-style queen-size bed with a luxurious foam mattress, and a custom-tiled 2-person private bath. Wide glass French doors allow you to enjoy the mountain views from the comfort of your bed.

Step outside to the covered porch and relax in one of the two rocking chairs while enjoying your morning coffee and the tranquil views. The cabin is equipped with a private hot tub, a fully-equipped kitchen, satellite TV, and WiFi internet. Nice cabin but way too much hassle
The leasing company was a nightmare. Way too many rules. I had to sign a rental agreement and return it in 24 hours. Then they wouldn’t return my emails confirming they received it. They made such a huge deal of visitors. The place isn’t that great to have all these extra rules.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawksbill retreat! The entry process was easy, the property was beautiful, and we absolutely loved our charming cabin. The views were stunning from both the front porch and the hot tub. Would definitely recommend!

We were a couple of miles from the property and Randy the property owner called to let us know the storms had knocked the power out and we would be without power for a couple hours. He was very apologetic but we completely understood because the storms were violent. We spent that time exploring the town and sure enough power was restored when we arrived. The place was amazing. I believe the best views are from cabin 4. It was an amazing place to stay and get away from our hectic work schedules. I have already recommended my friends to book this little piece of heaven.

The property was as advertised. Instructions were very clear. The views were amazing and the cabin was very clean. Everything provided was in working order. In the short time we were there we never saw other people, however there was one other occupied cabin very close by with two others under construction. This might not be ideal for anyone looking for a lot of privacy, our hot tub did not have any sort of privacy fence.

Absolutely Beautiful Views
My husband and I stayed in Cabin #5 for a long weekend. I can't express enough how wonderful the weekend was! The property, including the other cabins and grounds are so well cared for. The cabins are spaced out so there is no worry of being on top of other guests. The location is a short drive into town and about 20 minutes to the National Park. Honestly, the best part of our weekend was sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs watching the mountains, clouds and birds. The only item that was unfortunate was that there is no seating that is comfortable for watching TV. But we really didn't have much time for that anyway with the hot tub, swing and rocking chairs. Great stay - thank you!

Wonderful cabin in a beautiful location
We loved our stay. The cabin is small/cozy but the space is used extremely well. The deck area and outside campfire are wonderful. There is also a full kitchen, so we were able to cook dinner and have leftovers in the morning. The only negative of the experience was the pre-check-in process. While I can appreciate the need to convey accurate information, it comes across as overbearing when every potential misstep is accompanied by a threat of immediate evictions.

A very nice little getaway!
My husband and I spent 3 nights here and it was a very nice little getaway. We really enjoyed the hot tub under the stars each night and gorgeous mountain views from the front porch rockers each day. The fire pit was a cozy feature. The kitchen had plenty of supplies for what we needed and the bathroom was spacious with dual shower heads/controls. The cabin was beautiful and it's a decent size. The property is gated and that was a nice security feature. The pond has a family of geese to greet you each day and is a peaceful picnic area. There is a quaint little diner just up the road that had a decent breakfast and friendly service. There are just a few things I think would increase overall comfort... While the mattress was comfortable, the space would nicely fit a king size bed and make it more accommodating for couples. A love seat or arm chairs at the foot of the bed with a coffee/side table would provide more comfortable and better positioned seating. The sleeper sofa was difficult to get out of as it sat very low and sagged to the middle, and was the only inside seating aside from two bar height stools. The A/C didnt keep up, so it was nearly 80 inside during the day, which was less than ideal. None of these are dealbreakers (except A/C in summer) as the property is lovely, just small touches I think would be well received by guests. We would certainly stay again!

Perfect get-a-way for couples =)
My husband and I simply wanted nothing more than to relax and take in the beautiful fall views. We had the best cabin #5 with the most amazing views a person could as for. The cabin was very cozy with a full kitchen. The gas fireplace crackled like a real fire which we loved. It was a little chilly for us to use the hot tub, but I would have loved it if it was a little warmer at night. We enjoyed some local shopping, and especially enjoyed the Hawskville diner. The cheese steaks out there are pretty good as well. We met the owner when he serviced the hot tub at the cabin next to ours and he was so very nice. This was a wonderful experience overall and we plan to return.
