“The cabin was clean and in good order. Everything we needed was there . We only needed to bring ourselves and the food . The hot tub was enjoyed in the evenings after exploring the gorge all day . We hiked in three different areas of the park and came back to peace and quiet . I counted 4 cars go by for the entire stay . The only sounds were the birds singing. If ya don’t mind the drive from town , I highly recommend this cabin ”

“We liked it overall. No directions for fireplace. It may have been broken. Microwave handle was broken. Steps to loft were a bit steep for us older folks. Tough road to get up to cabin. Overall we were pleased with our stay.”

“My family had a pleasant time at Throw'n Shade. It was a quick trip to get outdoors at the Gorge, grab some pizza, then a evening at the cabin. The location is beautiful, nice view of a valley in the spring with no close neighbors. Just enough for what we were looking for.”

“Very relaxing. Thank you for decent beds because that makes all the difference. Just fyi the second step was slippery. Looks like it cracked awhile back. A mirror near a window for the ladies. But even if you don’t address these things, I’d still stay there again. Loved the loft deck. ”

“Cabin was really nice. Driveway was little tricky, but nothing 4x4 couldn’t handle. Shower door did not stay shut so had to make sure floor had a towel down to catch the water. We would stay there again. ”

“Must back in or out of the driveway with trees on one side and a dropoff on the other. Once you get to the cabin, it is great! Hot tub was an added plus. Would definitely stay again. Had everything we needed except ice. Owner stayed in touch, easy checkout.”

“The cabin is absolutely gorgeous! It’s away from other houses so very private and surrounded by nature. The beautifully decorated, very well maintained, and the hot tub is the icing on the cake. We loved everything about it! ”

“I gave this cabin 4 stars for location. The cleanliness was lacking. upon arrival the coffee pot was dirty and full of grounds. There was a terrible smell coming from the garbage disposal. Had to flush it out with soapy water several times. The bathroom rugs were dirty, which is inexcusable given the on site washer and dryer. There was dog hair throughout from the previous guests. The TV (Hulu) never worked the entire time. Calls to management were not helpful. Given the price, I wouldn't stay……

“Wife and I stayed a couple of days as a getaway. We had a great time. Owner was easy to communicate with. Recommend the cabin.”

“Property owner was amazing as was checkin/checkout and communication. We must have come on a busy weekend because we paid around 600+ for 2 nights. This seemed overpriced although plenty of other cabins were obviously much higher. If it was priced around 400, I'd be giving it 9 stars. Amazing outdoor space/hot-tub. The 1/2 mile drive up mostly single lane road wasn't fun though the views were decent. The one bedroom downstairs was okay, but holes in the wall provide poor noise insulation……
