This bright and clean beach cottage getaway is just 40 miles north of Seattle and 50 yards from a vast, southwest facing beach with sweeping views of Port Susan, Camano Island and Mt. Rainier, miles of beach for walking and exploring, and refreshing water for swimming on hot days. Observe seals, porpoises, whales (if you’re lucky), eagles, herons, kingfishers, blackberries (in August) and more! Because you’ll be mere steps from the shore, feel free to bring your kayaks, paddle boards and floaties. For landward activity, there's a community park with swing set and sport court (balls included), and a large grassy area for flying kites, kicking a ball, or riding bikes around. For those seeking more rigorous exercise, there’s a steep hill leading to a beautiful walk in the woods adjacent to our entry road, that community members use for exercise and access to a forested nature experience. Alternatively, walk or drive north one mile on the beach to Kayak Point Regional Park, where people fish and crab off the pier, play at the park, and picnic by the shore.
Enjoy water views and sunsets from the large, west-facing deck. Fully stocked, sizable kitchen, and two bedrooms that accommodate a family of 5 (or two couples) with a queen bed and bunk with trundle. Our kitchen is well stocked, and includes a microwave, range/oven, toaster and new Keurig coffee maker (coffee and cocoa pods included).
Bath towels, bed sheets, dish & laundry soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and beach towels included. There is a Bluetooth-enabled WiFi television with AppleTV, so you can access entertainment through your own subscriptions to online content or AirPlay through the AppleTV. There are playing cards and a cribbage board in the home, as well.
Note: the bedrooms are small, but the storage is there. There are wall hooks, a bar with hangers, four empty drawers underneath the master bed, and two dressers in the bunk room that should help accommodate your “stuff.”
We hope you will enjoy the salt air and refreshing change of scenery in our special beach community. End your day with a bonfire on the beach after sunset.
