It is only three kilometers to the town center with shops and restaurants. Starigrad-Paklenica is located at the foot of the Velebit Mountains, where the Karst Mountains and the Adriatic Sea meet. Several gastronomic establishments with Dalmatian specialties - including fish and lamb - as well as shops are located along the coastal road in front of the spectacular backdrop of the Paklenica gorges. Within the park there is a network of hiking trails over 150 km long, which allow for both short walks and multi-day hikes. The most popular walk leads from the park entrance, about 400 meters from your holiday home, through the impressive Velika Paklenica gorge in about two hours.
