“We chose Valentine’s Day weekend for our stay in Mount Airy, which was a town we have wanted to visit for some time now. Of course we did the touristy stuff and visited all of the Andy Griffith sites, wearing ourselves out. The nicest part of the trip was Liz’s place, where we were able to relax each evening after 2 long days of walking and sightseeing, in an atmosphere that just felt like home. “If you’re looking for a modern, luxurious, secluded location this is not for you. But if you are looking for a rustic farmhouse reminiscent of your grandparents or great grandparents and within walking distance of Main St, this place will work. Keep in mind it is a 1930’s house with a lot of the original “charm”. We loved it and plan to stay again.”
