Very cool building, in an old high school. Unfortunately they sold me a king bed which was just two twins pushed together and the staff were fairly unapologetic about it. Lacklustre hotel for its reputation.

We did have a lovely stay at the Stirling Highland Hotel the lobby and communal areas were all tastefully decorated and welcoming. We had an evening meal which all four of us enjoyed the breakfast was very good with a good variety of food which was replenished whenever they ran low. The only downside was the bedrooms were a bit tired especially the bathrooms which in my opinion need some TLC rusty taps wonky toilet seat and grubby grouting.

Love the facade of the hotel, friendly and helpful staff, and the location! The room(especially the bathroom) felt a bit dated, but the room is clean, and we absolutely loved staying at an old highschool from 1854 :)) Would’ve loved using the swimming pool, if I was not so tired from walking all day, exploring all the cool places! Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Man hört die Nachbarn über und neben dem Zimmer. Das Frühstück ist okay. Man muss sein Kennzeichen in einem Tablet angeben, damit man keinen Strafzettel auf dem Hotelparkplatz bekommt, wird dann aber trotzdem beim Check in für den Parkplatz abkassiert. Ich erwarte für zehn Pfund Parkgebühren, dass die Rezeption mein Kennzeichen im System einpflegt und nicht ich selber.
