“There were 17 of us staying and it was perfect for us all. Plenty of space, comfortable accommodation, fantastic facilities, beautiful views. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit. Would definitely recommend and would love to return. There were a couple of issues with door handles. One fell off all the time and one was impossible to lock. But, apart from that, it was perfect.”

“This a sizeable property and well placed for easy access to Beach, Town and shops. It has 5 bedrooms including a downstairs bedroom and en-suite. Some updating needed of facilities which has been fed back. However, this was a great success as it’s very hard to find suitable accommodation for people with mobility issues and I was staying with my parents who are 88 & 89 respectively. “A great cottage for a short stay with a young family. Communication was great with the hosts and they were so accommodating. Having a parking space in Shaldon was a real bonus too. Bunk bed room is as described, not suitable once children are over 12 or so. Our son is 12 now and it was a squeeze in the bunks but fine for only a few nights. I’d say ideal children under 10 but lots of stairs so take stair gates. Towels were a bit musty, so I wish I’d have taken our own and things like hand soaps……

“It was a little hard to find, as entry is easy to miss and I wasn't sure which of the cabins it was. But once I got there it was worth the effort: a very nice shepherd's hut, with good facilities and the view was wonderful even in early spring, the only nearby neighbours are the pheasants and deer.Bad: Drive down (or especially back up) is very steep on gravel track so took some practice to get up.
