Enjoy peace and tranquility on this beautiful private lake. This is truly the Northwoods vacation spot of your dreams - unwind and connect with nature as the world becomes more distant!

Lakeside Cabin is situated just steps from the water on a private peninsula with beautiful lake frontage, two sandy bottom shorelines for wading or swimming (great for kids), large boat landing on the property (free of charge), a fishing dock with a bench; and stunning year-round lake views from every window - it is very much like your own private resort!

Lakeside cabin offers a great way to experience the Northwoods of Wisconsin. The Cabin is located on beautiful Little Sissabagama Lake (locally referred to as Little Siss), which is in the heart of the northwestern woods of Wisconsin, in between the towns of Spooner and Hayward, and is an easy 2.5 hour drive from the Twin Cities. The surrounding area is considered by many to be one of the finest examples of the Northwoods due to the diverse landscape, dense coverage of various types of trees, and an abundance of fish and bird populations. From the forested shorelines, coves, islands, and winding narrows to the ethereal echo of loons, it's a Northwoods experience straight out of a novel.

Little Siss is a private 'quiet' lake with nearly no traffic and is great for boating (up to 130HP motors), water skiing, tubing, fishing (class A Musky lake), kayaking, and swimming. Lakeside Cabin is also great during the winter season - enjoy great ice fishing just outside the front door, snowshoeing on the lake, cross-country skiing, and an open campfire under the stars!

Lakeside Cabin comfortably sleeps up to 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms (one on each level), a grand 2 story living-room, fully equipped kitchen, and a walkout basement ready for entertainment. Enjoy bringing back some fun memories playing an arcade machine (free of charge) with over 400 top arcade games of the 80's and 90's, or challenge friends and family to a game of pool or ping-pong - guaranteed to be a big hit!

Lakeside Cabin is also loaded with several comforts and amenities including central heating/air-conditioning, wood-stove fireplace, washer/dryer, high-speed Starlink Internet (Wi-Fi), DVD player, and High-Definition televisions featuring DirecTV throughout the cabin.

Bring your boat/pontoon - Lakeside Cabin offers a large boat ramp/launch conveniently located just outside your front door. We also provide our guests with a rowboat and 2 kayaks free of charge. Motorized boat/pontoon rental is also available from a 3rd party vendor with free delivery and pickup to our docks.

We also allow up to two house-trained and well-behaved dogs, so, bring your furry family member(s) and enjoy the tranquility and privacy of your very own piece of paradise!

Daughters 21st Birthday

Our daughter is special needs and we were taking her on a train ride near Spooner to celebrate. Our stay was short, Friday to Sunday, and our only complaint was that we had to leave. We will definitely try to come back! Can’t say enough great things!

Amazing getaway/ beautiful cabin

This cabin was absolutely amazing. We wanted a place where family could meet us and catch up with some cold temperatures to introduce our husky and malamute to, this area did not disappoint! The views of the frozen lake from the cabin were beautiful and the fact that we could walk the lake to explore with our grandchildren were a plus! We occupied ourselves with the game room downstairs and the men competing for high score on the arcade machine was hilarious. Our hosts responded to our inquiries quickly and were amazing. Definitely a place to keep yourselves busy any time of the year. Will definitely return.

Anything less than 5 stars was likely our fault. However, the wood pile was empty (no big deal), and the code for the door was sent so early i couldn't find it on my phone without wifi (which we didn't have until we checked into the house). Winter Wonderland!!

This was our second stay in this cabin. We stayed in 2021 and would have stayed last year, but it was already booked. The cabin is located on a beautiful lake with beautiful views. It’s spotless top to bottom, which makes it relaxing and cozy. Our family loves this cabin and the amenities. Scott and Dea were easy to get a hold of and responded promptly. Thank for another perfect Christmas!!

Nice Cabin

The cabin was really nice and cozy! We enjoyed our stay. We really liked the location. It was beautiful and quiet. The host was very responsive. The few things we hope to be better was the household items. There was not many household things provided such as an electric mixer for kitchen or soap, shampoo, etc. they did not have extra towels for showers. It was also disappointing there was no good filter drinking water. The water had a very iron taste. We needed to drive to a near by gas station to buy good drinking water. There were also no blankets provided in the living room. At least we couldn’t find. Overall beautiful cabin and comfortable. Just a few minor things we expect in a home. Thank you for a great stay!

Comfy rustic home

Home was very clean. Kitchen was well equipped. Enjoyed the pool table and PAC Man. Location was near Stone Lake as desired for Cranberry Fest. One of the bedrooms has double bunk beds. Didn’t work as well as we would have liked, as our group was all adults except one teen. Overall stay was great. Would definitely recommend!

Family getaway

We really enjoyed our time at the cabin. Our favorite thing to do was fish and have campfires under the beautiful stars at night. Just wish the water lad less weedy so the adults could swim. It’s great for small kids, as there’s a small shallow area with no weeds. The row boat was fun, as well as taking walks on the country roads. Loved listening to the loons as we sipped coffee on the parch in the morning! We all loved the arcade and pool table as well. Overall, a wonderful stay.

We had a wonderful week at Lakeside cabin! Accommodations were excellent (clean and well stocked) weather was beautiful and the fish were biting making for a great week of time spent with our adult children. Excellent for a family getaway!

The cabin is excellent and the lake is wonderfully quiet. Enjoyed lots of fishing - both from the boat we brought and the kayaks furnished by the owners. The game room downstairs is excellent for rainy day entertainment inside. Definitely recommend for small group or family getaways.

Fantastic time

We had a fantastic time. The kids enjoyed playing pool and ping pong. Hearing the Loons in the morning was a plus. Very nice cabin, quiet, and enjoyed sitting out on the dock watching the wildlife. Would definitely stay again.

Booked this cabin many months in advance for a late August trip with our family of 6 adults and 1 dog. My hopes of what it would be were far exceeded. The cabin was perfectly set up for everyone to have their own level with a bedroom/full bath. The lower level is the game room, queen/full bunk bed room, full bath, utility room with nice washer and dryer. Main level is kitchen with everything needed, family room with the most beautiful view of lake, full bathroom, and 2 smaller bedrooms with either full or queen sized bed. Upstairs master was so nice to have with the bed looking out to the lake. Master bath was great. Heaters in all bathrooms is a nice touch. Waking up to the lake view and call of loons was so peaceful. Little Siss is amazing. I believe I read in the cabin that Sissabagama means “many bays” and that is what it is. Beautiful bays around every corner. No public boat launch so very little traffic on the lake which only consisted of pontoons or kayakers. Had an eagle and blue heron fly over me at the same time while kayaking in the bay of the cabin..magical! Rented a pontoon from the nice lady recommended by the cabin owners. That was perfect to have it already at the pier when we arrived. Excellent fishing. Lots of northern, crappie, bass, blue gills. Fish cleaning station was great to have. Overall, this was the funnest most relaxing family trip we have had and as soon as we got home we booked it again for next year and for longer. Amazing! Thank you!
