“Its not often that you find a property that exceeds your expectations, but this certainly did. The lodge was beautiful. Extremely spacious and felt like real luxury from the minute you walk in. It was nicely furnished throughout and a super kitchen with everything you could need. Bravo to whoever was in charge of kitting out and furnishings. “Clean room, tons of space, friendly staff, great location, no complaints at all.
Only area of improvement is the parking situation, both how limited it is (understandable due to the area) and the fact it is chargeable, outside of that an outstanding hotel which we will definitely visit again.”

“Excellent accommodation. Well appointed and clean. Our only comment would be that it was missing some small but necessary items, such as salt & pepper and some dishwashing up cloths. Small but needed as the little village store had only pepper. Other than that it was a wonderful visit and a great Pub in the square. People were very helpful as well. Thank you ”

“We loved every second of our stay in The Barn. Very central for exploring the region and it was lovely to return to a quiet and comfortable home each night. The shower in the bathroom has great pressure and the amenities were everything we needed. Felt very welcome and safe during our stay. ”

“The welcome we received from Ashrad was excellent. He went out of his way to welcome us, and to advise us about the locality he is a very friendly gentleman.

Comfortable hotel
"Stayed here for 3 nights on this trip. A very comfortable stay with exceptional service. The air conditioner in the room stopped functioning, but the staff quickly took care of the matter as soon as we reported it and compensated us with many free drink vouchers; the manager got soaked in the process of fixing the air conditioning but continued to apologise to us for the inconvenience. The staff are very welcoming, and the environment is very relaxing. Will highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Exeter.
Special thanks to the hotel manager and one of the hotel staff members for swiftly taking care of the air conditioner issue; despite ending up being wet in the process you both have handled the issue with grace and kindness."
