I never give 5 stars. What a hidden gem!! End of the session but that didn’t stop us going. We were in the Main Street in a row of tiny fishing cottages. So quant and on arrival the heating had been put on for our arrival. Very clean couldn’t fault. Hopefully we will be back one day soon

The room was very spacious and comfortable and everything we needed for two nights. It was at the top of the hill so was close to the lounge / bar area that had an amazing view and very comfortable seating.

This was a really nice room. And the view of the harbor was great. The buffet prices at the restaurant were pretty expensive but The Kitchen restaurant was reasonable and their food was really good. The location right near the Gordon River Cruise was really convenient.

Beautiful view of the harbour from our balcony. Clean and comfortable accommodation though dated, the more modern accommodation is up the hill. Beautiful buildings and houses in the village, restaurant was amazing for a seafood buffet dinner. Gordon river cruise across the road. Lovely pub nearby and other food options. Staff helpful with advise and directions. Very enjoyable 3 night stay.

Multiple properties spread out over a wide area, there didn’t seem to be any place where people might gather and socialise. However it makes sense to run it as a cooperative. Reception staff were very nice and helpful. The buffet dinner was a bit over-priced but was on site, great not having to drive out at night. Our room was rather bland, but since this was presumably former timber industry accommodation, it was ok. Taking the cruise to the Gordon River was a highlight. Of our time in Strahan.

The property itself looks like an outdated old motel. Stucco walls, old bathrooms. Needs a Reno to give a better presentation. Lounge/Bar area was lovely. Incredible views from the outdoor deck.

Unfortunately I can only give a 1 star rating to our experience at Strahan village. Due to the number of our travelling party we were only able to book a standard room. I have to acknowledge that an attempt has been made to update the bedroom with a lack of paint and new curtains and maybe even the beds. But the bathroom was unacceptable. On the bathroom wall on the tile grout was mould, around the bottom of the toilet were urine stains and the bathroom door around the handle had stains. To top it off at the entrance of our room was a big stain on the carpet and we had stains on the carpet in the bedroom. We arrived late, so we were unable to talk to someone regarding changing the room and after a very bad night sleep we decided to leave a day early. We spoke to the manager who explained we only had a standard room and can't have high expectations. I explained that for 3 prople that was our only option and he agreed. I mentioned the above problems and he said he can't do anything about the bathroom and the carpet is only 3 months old. I disagreed and told him they can regrout the shower tiles, give the toilets a good scrub and clean the carpet stains. He said he can't refund the outstanding night as I booked with expedia. We were also not happy with the restaurant choices for dinner and ended up buying groceries from the local supermarket aandeating sandwiches. The only highlights of Strahan overall were the beautiful view and the coffee shack with excellent coffee
