My husband and I stayed at the Mill House Cottage for 3 nights. When I booked the cottage I had great communication via Expedia and was informed that 24 hours prior to check in I would receive check in instructions by email but I never did. I finally called them directly at which point the representative emailed the instructions to me with a google maps link to the property location since the homes do not have street numbers in that area. The google map link took us to a location about a mile from the cottage but we drove around and eventually found it.The parking is very tight & in front of the only door to the cottage. there were issues that made our stay unpleasant: the hot water tank is in the bedroom near the foot of the bed. It beeps, turns on a blue light, and flushes periodically throughout the day and night and woke us up repeatedly every night as the cottage is otherwise completely quiet. Additionally the fire alarm above the bed has a light that flashes continually which isn’t noticeable until one is in the dark. In the bathroom there is only a tub, no shower, and there was no towel bar or hooks for the bath towels, only one short bar for the two hand towels. There was no tub mat or bath mat and both floor and tub were very slippery when wet. Lastly, per instructions we took the garbage to the outside bins upon departure but found them overflowing with no room for much more. We cannot recommend due to lack of local management to assist with these types of issues.
