Welcome to Sunnyside Up in Egg Harbor!

Step inside and walk into the spacious Great Room with vaulted ceilings and huge windows that welcome in the sun and panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Your family will enjoy the open floor plan with a well appointed gourmet kitchen, a gas fireplace, a large screen TV, a cabinet full of games and a large dining area with seating for 12.

The floor to ceiling wall of windows extends into the primary bedroom which provides you with a magnificent view of the lake to wake up to each morning. The adjoining bathroom features a double sink with granite counters and large walk-in shower.

The magnificent lake views continue as you make your way down to the large family recreation room. Here you will find an L-shaped sectional couch with entertainment options including a game table, large screen TV, Wii games, a DVD library and keyboard piano. Two bedrooms and a full bath complete the lower level.

Kids and adults alike will love the bunk room on the second floor. Each bunk is outfitted with outlets to recharge phones and personal lights that can be individually dimmed, turned on or off. Built in stairs provide easy access to top bunks. A large open area in this room along with window seating provides ample space to spread out for rainy day fun with board games or crafts.

Hopefully, though, your stay will be full of sunshine to enjoy the lakefront. A hammock nestled among the pine trees next to the waterfront provides the perfect spot for an afternoon nap or to hide out with a good book.

The grill master in your family will appreciate the 36” Fisher & Paykel stainless steel BBQ with side burner. While dinner is on the grill, the rest of the family can enjoy a game of croquet on the large lake front lawn, a round of ping pong or basketball. Enjoy s’mores around the built in fire pit, surrounded by six Andirondack chairs or enjoy a glass of wine on the expansive back deck while experiencing breathtaking views of the sunset.

Although you will be tempted to spend all your time at Sunnyside Up, don’t miss out on all that Door County has to offer. Starting with the Town Egg Harbor north on Bay Shore Drive, both sides of the peninsula are dotted with villages along the waterfront each with its own charm and appeal. Soak up the sun at any of the 53 public beaches; bike, run or hike through one of the hundreds of trails and parks; visit one of 11 historic lighthouses; watch artists at work in their galleries; enjoy evening entertainment under the stars at the outdoor theaters or drive in movies; sample locally made wine and spirits at one of the nearby Door County’s vineyards or distilleries; reserve your spot for Door County’s famous fish boils…..the list goes on and on.

Lovely waterfront luxury home

We had a lovely time in this beautiful, clean, well stocked home. The views were awesome and comfortable furnishings. I did experience difficulties getting in home as there were no handrails at entry or in garage and steps weren’t normal height. With a disability I was limited in my ability to enter without assistance. Also hindered leaving the deck for access to firepit and water. Would love to come back if it were more accessible with handrails. We loved being there

Great getaway

My family and I spent a week at this great location. At this location you are close enough to drive to any location in door county, but are out of the hustle and bustle of the more touristy areas. Next time we go to door county we will definitely rent this property again.

Unbelievably wonderful! Best sunsets at night I have ever seen.

Great home. The adult sized beds in the bunk bed room were really nice. Lots of room throughout and the layout of the home was awesome. Clean, excellent communication. Not far from many fun locations, Egg Harbor, wineries, Door county Coffee. Highly recommend this home.

Relaxed Getaway

The process from start to finish was smooth and easy. The stay itself was spectacular. The layout of the home was perfect, the view incredible, over looking the Bay. Great open space between the kitchen and family room for great atmosphere. Beautiful fire pit which again overlooks the Bay and we had wonderful fires nightly. We will be back for sure. Communication with the host was very prompt, and complete.

Beautiful Getaway location

Comfortable, relaxed setting with beautiful scenery. Our families spent time enjoying the spacious back yard and sitting by the fire. The sunsets were gorgeous. The weather hadn't cooperated but we still had a wonderful time. The home was a great fit for everyone.

Great place. Very pretty! Only issues were small ones: - Wasp nests at front door. - Creeky beds - Pipes and other obstacles in water makes it hard to hang in the water off the dock.

Perfect Stay at the Lake

This house was the perfect fit for our two families, with 5 kids ranging in age from 8-17. There was plenty of space for all of us to sleep comfortably as well as gather for good times in the common areas. The location on the lake is beautiful. We were out in the backyard every night watching the sunset and drinking coffee in the mornings while we watched the sunrise. It's private, yet accessible. Only 15 minutes or so to downtown Egg Harbor, where we enjoyed several restaurants and the 4th of July fireworks. Brenda was a consummate host and responded quickly to any of our queries. Thank you for a fantastic visit. We would love to come back!

Beautiful home on the other side of beautiful lake Michigan

Planned a summer vacation with 2 families of 4 to check out Door County. We live in Michigan and vacation regularly on the 'other side of the lake' but this year we wanted to explore the Wisconsin side. Our criteria was on the water, everyone needed a bed to lay in and amenities. This home was the perfect choice. We spent 5 days and could have done 10 just to enjoy all it had to offer. We brought SUPs for the kids to enjoy and they had beautiful calm Green Bay water to take them out every day. They also enjoyed the numerous lawn games, basketball (yup, even at like 8am), the bonfire pit and more. Inside we had a hard time deciding between games at the kitchen table, movies on the main level or movies and puzzles on the lower level. There was just so much. Lastly, there was definite debate between letting the kids have the 8 bunks upstairs vs. the adults as they were the things everyone dreams of from young to old. We were about 15 minutes out of Egg Harbor. Far enough away to be quiet and close enough to travel in to enjoy things. We had to venture to the other side of the peninsula for the kids to find sandy shores to swim as the Green Bay side is mostly rocky shoal shore but it made them explore other things they wouldn't have otherwise. The owners were great. There were so many high end amenities in the house. Not sure how they don't stay here all the time theselves BUT we thank them for sharing it with us.

Would stay again!!!

Property was great and dealing with Brenda was delightful. She went out of her way to help us. As an example, sent us an email reminder about garbage pick-up (which we needed) and when the coffee maker was broken shortly before we arrived, a brand new top line replacement was at the front door. Great dining table seating easily 10 was wonderful. It left an area for puzzle making or games in addition to seating 6 for meals. Rained for several days but didn't dampen our spirits as we enjoyed the fireplace and great lighting everywhere in the home. Only shortfall at all, and not critical was the lack of streaming through a somewhat limited wifi. We would definitely stay again!

Horrific Experience

Steps are too tall around the property which could cause severe injury. Property owner is inconsiderate and money grabbing. Do not dare to have a health accident or you will pay severely. Deck is wobbly. Would never stay here again.

Great Trip Filled with Wonderful Memories

House functioned well for our family gathering of 7. Beautiful lakefront location with expansive yard, built in BBQ and wood burning fire pit perfect for evening s’mores. Kitchen was well stocked. The grandchildren loved the bunk room and play area as well as all the outdoor games, hammock and dock. Owner was very responsive and provided lots of information on enjoying the area. We look forward to returning.

Beautiful sunsets!

This was our first trip to Door County and it lived up to all the hype we have heard! House was a beautiful setting on the Lake with incredible sunsets! Made great memories by the campfire with S’mores. Comfortable home and lots of space! We cooked every night and kitchen was stocked with everything we needed! (Better than many other VRBO’s we have rented in past) We did have a bit of trouble with hot water in showers, but host responded quickly and had a plumber out within the hour to help fix! Highly recommend and would rent this home again for future trips!

Wonderful opportunity to spend time with our family.

The setting for the home is so beautiful. We had plenty of space although two bathrooms for 10 people was a bit inconvenient at times. It rained a couple of day and we were grateful for all the fun things there were for us to do. Ping pong, a basketball hoop, indoor games and lots of other stuff! We made s’mores every night by the fire pit. This is a wonderful home to stay in!

We loved the house--it's big enough to hold a group, but at the same time, it feels intimate and cozy. Lots of outdoor toys for fun--on the last day, we had an outdoor olympics with bean toss, bocce, and ping pong. The best part? Sunsets on the dock.

Absolutely perfect lake home for family vacation!

We couldn't have enjoyed staying here more! The house was perfect with more than enough space for our family of 10, including four teenagers. We enjoyed watching the gorgeous sunsets on the lake, roasting marshmallows around the beautiful fire, and made so many family memories. Brenda is a wonderful host and this house is a dream!
