“Peaceful doesn't suffice the serenity of this place. Quiet neighborhood, inviting and private sections of the house. It was more home than cabin. Little broods of duck families, and little chipmunks were entertaining. If I could give it 6 stars I would.”

“Comfort and cleanliness are typically a problem for us because our standards are so high, but this property has exceptionally comfortable beds, and is new and spotless throughout. The property manager thought of every aspect of our comfort. The kitchen was fully stocked, down to cold water bottles in the fridge. Abundance of towels was available in both bathrooms. The three bedrooms were beautiful, clean, and inviting— with the highest quality memory foam mattresses, and good quality pillows.……

“We had a great girls' weekend! We got to relax, laugh, sleep, hike and canoe with our dogs. This was the perfect little place off the beaten path. We'll definitely be back! ”

“We had an incredible stay at this beautiful lake house for my son’s 10th birthday celebration. The property is perfect for families! The converted garage served as a fun rec room with lots of games, keeping the kids entertained for hours. The floors are also heated! Upstairs, there was a spacious living area with plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The main house was equally impressive, with cozy bedrooms and a welcoming atmosphere. The best part, though, was the breathtaking view……

“We (6 adults)attended a concert at a nearby casino and couldn't find any available rooms there or anywhere nearby. So when we found this listing on Vrbo, we were thrilled. We booked for two nights. The Snowy Owl Barn is just as described: Spacious main level with 3 BR upstairs. 1.5 baths. The beds were very comfy. It was very clean. We grilled steaks one night on the deck. It had a nicely appointed kitchen. Would highly recommend this place!”

“Love the location. A bit for everyone to do from the trails, atv riding, fishing , farm animals and more. The owners are good people and our kiddos made a new friend with their daughter. I did read a lot of mixed reviews before we went so we went in aware that it is an older property. Michael was good at communicating when we got there about any unexpected things that weren’t working. Also you are in the middle of the Solana Forest so anticipate the mosquitoes and flies and other bugs in the……

“We used the Octagon for a retreat weekend and it was perfect for that. It was a beautiful property all around! Staff we interacted with were kind and helpful!”

It’s quiet and clean with special touches that the owners have added that made our stay more relaxing. The owners are responsive and accommodating. It truly is a gem and well worth the stay. ”

“Beautiful property and so neat to stay in this old farmhouse. The kids really got a kick out of it. The lake was perfect and the pontoon was great to use on the lake.”

“We loved the cabin, it was exactly as described on the website. The communication with the Lois was fast and easy. The Banning State Park and the Kettle River are just minutes away. We recommend it.”

“You need to like animals. Surrounded by horses chickens turkeys and ladybugs. Was no hot tub even though was in listing. The trails were nice a little rustic but enjoyable. Friendly people and clean place. But not exactly what I expected from pictures on listing. Much smaller and surrounded by other cabins. ”
