Relaxing and fun will describe your stay in this beautiful 2,400 square foot lakehouse. Bring your boat because you'll be in the scenic Potato Creek area of Lake Marion, legendary for its fishing and wildlife. Bald eagles and ospreys soaring overhead is an everyday sight as you enjoy fantastic fishing and water sports on Lake Marion. Relax by the lakeside as you grill your catch of the day and watch the sunset as it fades into starlight while gathered around our fire pit. The Santee National Wildlife Refuge is just 1/2 mile by boat and is also easily accessible via car, by bike or hiking trails. Five golf courses and shopping helps keep your vacation options open. Family Vaca

For what matters most we made some of our ABSOLUTE BEST memories here. The kids and grandkids had a blast. We ate well, slept well, and a week of Vaca with NO incidents is a WIN WIN. Upon arrival we noticed the pier needed some attention near the fish cleaning station, the sandy beach area was littered with cigarette butts and misc trash, and fire ants had taken over the board just before stepping on pier. With a nearby rake we fluffed sand and cleaned up trash prior to our family arriving. The faucets in the house bathrooms need some SERIOUS attention. With the size of family this house sleeps and extra trash can is needed. The closed in porch area has standing water in some areas and the interior of it is peeling away around the baseboards. At the end of the day this house served its purpose. It's a lake house. Lots of kids running in and out all day my goal in finding a house is safe and functional. It did that. A DEEP CLEANING would certainly help as well.

FDFC 16th year fishing trip

The property was nice and had enough room for all 12 of us, 3 boats and all of the fishing equipment. Loved the long dock and the location that’s not far from the big water. We would stay here again when we come back to fish Lake Marion.

Best spot to be after working long days

It was nice to come home after a long day at work and sit out there and see the lake and the house is beautiful and the accommodations were well pleasing. We will definitely be staying here again.

Good for our large family.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. Our large family utilized the entire house, the yard, beach sand area, dock, and boat ramp. Suggestion: Bring large cookware if you’re preparing food for a large family. We would definitely rent this unit again.

House is in a great location on Lake Marion. House is very dated but overall a very nice stay. Well stocked for dishes so easy to cook. Would definitely stay there again.

There was 14 of us total. There was plenty of room for everyone comfortably. The yard was beautiful. The enclosed back patio was used quite a bit. We definitely enjoyed our stay at the property.

Great lake house bunk house!

A good place for large group of people, we love the beach area but could be better maintained. Boat ramp and dock always great when you bring your boat. A simple no frills house lake that is comfortable and sleeps many people, I would still rent again.

We had a great time staying at this house! It was very spacious with plenty of space for everyone. We were a little sad about not being able to swim, but we understand that the lake itself has so much grass everywhere right now. We would definitely love to stay there again!

Wonderful!

We rented this property May 30 - June 4, 2024 for a family vacation that included ages from two teenaged girls to 3 members in their upper 70's and it was wonderful! The two downstairs bedrooms were perfect for the older folks so they didn't have to worry about going up and down the stairs, while the younger ones stayed upstairs. There was plenty of room inside and out and we loved the back glassed in porch area for all day enjoyment. The private beach access was used and enjoyed by all. The pier was great for fishing and docking the boat to, as well as the teenagers hanging out there and jumping off. As we all came from different locations, in the state and out of state, the driveway offered plenty of parking for us all and was easy to maneuver if someone needed to go out somewhere. The property has 2 refrigerators which was perfect for all the food we needed for 5 full days we were there. The only thing that we felt was a negative was no ceiling fans in the entire place. A couple of fans on the back porch would have been ideal for keeping flys at bay when opening the doors and eating out back. The AC worked great, but I think most people here in the south are just used to ceiling fans in their bedrooms all year, but just my opinion. A great time was had by all, it was the perfect size for us and easy to find from I-95. I would highly recommend this place for a large family gathering and would definitely rent again if we decide to get together again next year!!!

Great location and house

While the fishing was not as good as we hoped it would be, our stay was still awesome. The house has everything we needed and more. Would definitely stay again if we go back to the area and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay!
