“The White River has always been a special place for us. It’s where we fell in love!!! This place was cozy, perfect and peaceful for a proposal. The home backs right ip to the river with an amazing view and the deck was perfect for a sunset proposal right on the water!! We will be back!!!”

“We went to relax while looking at the water and fish a little and we got just what we wanted. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we've ever had! Perfect weather, good fishing just outside the back door, and several great outside spots to enjoy it all. Plus, Cotter has a nice little park/boat launch area that we enjoyed too.Our group was supposed to be 3 couples but ended up with 2. Very comfortable for 2 but would have been okay with 3 and pushing a couple twins together. Had a nice……

“Great location and layout but i would not recommend it for groups larger than 6 adults. There are 2 bedrooms that show 2 beds in each which is technically accurate but the rooms are extremely small especially when trying to use the beds. The other limitations are the 2 pullout couches in the basement cannot both be used at the same time as the room is not large enough for that. All of the indoor and outdoor spaces are great and we enjoyed our stay but it is not one i would select for large……

“We wanted to go somewhere that was off the beaten path, quiet, peaceful, where you can hear nothing but the wind through the trees, and see the stars. We were happy that is just what we found here. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are nice and have extras of things you may have forgotten. Everything was very clean. Plenty of cozy blankets for winter months. As far as cooking, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed walking the trails around the property and walking down……

“The house and location was beautiful. The only drawback was the half bath toilet hadn’t been flushed and the floors were dirty looked like dog hair but there are not supposed to be pets so not sure what all that hair was. I would definitely recommend this place though very pretty and loved the location.”

“The photos don’t do this property justice. The house is beautifully decorated, large spacious bathrooms. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch overlooking the river to have my morning coffee. We were able to catch fish right out back. A beautiful slice of paradise on the white river!Would happily visit this property again. ”

“This place has everything you need. Lots of room for everyone. We had 6 adults and plenty of space for relaxing. The kitchen has everything you need. The view out of the back of the house is priceless. There were fishermen floating by and they were catching fish. We even fished right out of the back of the house and caught fish. This place is FANTASTIC!!!! We will be coming back. ”

“We chose a mild winter vacation this year over the beach. The idea was for our kids parents and grandparents to spend a vacation together with different scenery. Without a doubt the Mendenhall was well worth the trip. The guest book told the history of a home full of memories for its owners. We were happy to make our own holiday memories there this year. Mr. Ben was more than helpful during our stay. From the wildlife to the cozy quiet welcoming feeling, just a really great place to enjoy. ”

“The Lake is awesome ! The house is.close to the central part of the lake . The Coats cottage is very nice , easy to access , my 87 year old father got around pretty well in and out of the house . Our host Maree was very helpful and accommodating, all the essentials and some extras made our stay very enjoyable ! ”
