Follow it west and you’ll reach beautiful Caswell Bay (1.5 miles), or head east instead to Bracelet Bay (2 miles) for a fine view towards the Mumbles Lighthouse. A mile cross-country you’ll find cosmopolitan Mumbles that has something for everyone to enjoy, with a Victorian pier and seafront lined with refreshment stops and ice cream shops. Overlooking the village, Oystermouth Castle (1.5 miles) is especially stunning, while further east, Swansea (5.5 miles) is the second-largest city in Wales.
Park your car at the front of the apartment block and pause to admire the view out to sea before you follow the steps one flight up to the landing and turn right to access your front door. Inside, the hallway has doors into a family bathroom, two bedrooms and a boiler cupboard containing a handy washer/dryer. The first bedroom you come to has a quirky bunk bed with sleeping space for two at the lower level and one above – ideal for siblings. There’s a king-size bedroom further along, before you reach a chic, uncluttered, open-plan living space with fully glazed patio doors at the far end. A contemporary sofa and chairs bring a cool coastal vibe to the lounge area, where you can stretch out to watch TV, opening those patio doors for a waft of sea air in the warmer months. Behind, the circular dining suite is conveniently close to the chic kitchen, where you’ll find all the essentials for an effortless self-catering stay.
Step through the patio doors onto your balcony and you can enjoy far-reaching views and the green lawn to the front of the apartment building. Steps to the sandy beach and coastal café are just a brief downhill stroll from your doorstep.
