Great boutique hotel, would definitely stay again. Only suggestions would be to include more hooks for towels (there are one or two inside the shower and toilet?) and thicker toilet paper - Who Gives A Crap do great quality ones. Otherwise a nice hotel in a good location not quite in the hustle and bustle of the city but walking distance to many places.

I enjoyed my stay. The hotel room had a lovely serene ambiance and everything that I needed to be comfortable. . I wish the pool had been larger, but for inside Sydney Central this was a great hotel overall. The cafe/ restaurant on the ground floor is nice and great for people watching when sitting at a sidewalk table. I arrived late from a long haul overseas flight on my first night and was looking forward to having a drink in the hotel's bar, but regretfully it closed at (;30 or 10:0pm which seemed too early for a city hotel bar. That was my main wish: for the bar in the hotel to stay open later, like until 11:30pm 0 pr 12:00 am, so that travel weary hotel guests could refresh themselves and start their "holiday vibes" immediately! Lovely place! . Thanks... I would stay here again.

Exactly the sort of intimate boutique hotel I most enjoy. Reminded me a good deal of the OPUS in Vancouver, at which I’m a repeat guest. I highly recommend for a highly modern experience and restful stay in a central location. Ahh, and don’t forget the wine bar!

We booked the Porter House day the day of our stay as we had a poor experience with the Novotel city centre. Staff were very accomodating, rooms clean and stylish, a nice area and good dining options. We will be staying here each time we are in Sydney from now on!

Really awesome hotel with great staff. Lovely facilities and spacious room. The only negative was you couldn’t see out of the windows because of how dirty they were, not really what you expect when booking such a premium hotel.

Corridors to room were dirty. Breakfast was slow in coming in Dixon & co and was cold on arrival. Constant noise above room that sounded like a lift moving, even though our room was well away from the lift lobby? Room wasn’t serviced still at 3pm even though we had requested this in the morning. There was no food available from the coffee shop on last morning. This was due to a delivery problem. So we went across to Nth degree coffee shop opposite and enjoyed a really good breakfast that was hot. Felt that it was all smoke and mirrors with no substance. Needs some good management to lift the game a few notches.

Beautiful hotel. Great size room, most comfortable bed and powerful shower. We stayed 2 nights and felt refreshed after leaving here. Highly recommend, easy walking distance to city or to train and metro links. If you like a boutique hotel, this is the place for you. Staff are lovely and make everything easy.

We had a fabulous stay at The Porterhouse Hotel in Sydney. At check-in the man working the front desk was very kind and friendly and he even checked us in early. Our previous hotel in another city had been a let down so we really needed a good experience and the Porterhouse provided this and more. Even the woman who cleaned our room was warm and welcoming. The rooms are also huge for a major metropolitan hotel. The location is perfectly situated near a beautiful park and in the CBD. We walked everywhere and loved coming back to our room for breaks. We were sad to leave. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

The best hotel we have ever stayed at. Convenient to all attractions, especially the Sydney opera house and Australia museum, the staff were exceptional and the rooms and amenities were the best we have ever had. Would recommend this hotel for everyone visiting Sydney.
