Perfectly Located Mountain Cabin with Breathtaking, Long Range Views!

Take a load off at Lazy Bear Cottage, a cute cabin nestled on the side of the mountain that will accommodate up to 6 guests! This privately owned two-bedroom, two-bath cabin offers stunning mountain views, central location and everything you need to call it home.

When you arrive, you will be greeted with warmth and a home full of custom furnishings, decorations and everything you may need for your perfect vacation. The inside is open and spacious will tall vaulted cathedral ceilings, plenty of windows for natural light and an open kitchen/dining/living room space in the front of the home. The living room is equipped with a queen sleeper sofa, flat screen tv with DISH satellite service and high-speed wireless internet service. The owner's suite has a king size bed and its own full bath. The secondary bedroom offers a queen size bed and its own bathroom that can be accessed from the bedroom or the hallway.

Love to entertain and cook? The fully stocked kitchen is ready for your expertise with plenty of space to easily seat your party. Outside you will find a huge wrap-around porch overlooking the woods on one side and the long-range mountain views on the other. Light up the grill or sit by the fire pit and enjoy doing a whole lot of nothing!

The cabin is just minutes from Dillsboro, Sylva and Franklin where you can find dining, over a half-dozen breweries, shopping, historic Main Street activities and festivals, rafting, hiking and so much more all within 15 or so minutes. Take a drive over to the Nantahala for some of the best whitewater rafting around, press your luck in Cherokee at the Harrahs Casino or shoot over to Maggie Valley for snow skiing in the winter, all a quick 30-35 minutes drive away! Beautiful home, very clean and everything you need for a getaway in the mountains. Fully stocked kitchen with extra appliances, washer and dryer. Comfy bed. Great wifi. Firepit with chairs and outdoor seating overlooking the mountains. Very quiet and private area. Only enough parking for 2 vehicles. We highly recommend.

Gorgeous Mountain Views
Great location, great views, great times. We’ve stayed at many vrbo rental cabins over the years. Some of which are a bit of a hike to get up to. This cabin was perfectly located and was not hard to get to either. There was always a little park next to creek right down the road. Which was perfect for two restless kiddos after a 12 hour road trip. The cabin was still cutely decorated for Christmas. The beds and pillows were comfy. The only thing we were little weary about was the dining chairs. They are not suitable for larger guests. Other than that- truly amazing time and amazing cabin! Thank you

It’s fine
It’s a cute cabin. Porch is very nice. It was good for a work trip and not having to pay for it myself. A bit scary last mile up the mountain buts that’s a personal problem lol. It could definitely benefit from having a facelift. No tvs in the bedrooms is a big bummer for us who go to sleep with one on. Hot water runs out very quickly so make sure to time out showers between people with extra time. Master bed is hard as the floor, master shower has poor water pressure and needs new sliding doors. Water pressure in 2nd bath is good. Bring paper towels as they were not supplied and if you want better than 1/2 ply toilet paper you may want to bring your own.

The cabin is precious and scenery beautiful but we had no way to get in touch with the property manager or owners about issues. We had no sheets for the pullout bed, it stuck and would not fold back in and the power went out for over 12 hrs. These are minor things and we made do BUT no one returned our calls. One person called back and said they no longer worked for the rental company. Very frustrating and scary. If there was a serious issue there was no way to contact anyone. The owners left a note saying don't hesitate to contact but no email or phone number to do so. My emails from VRBO left a number for the owners but that was the person who no longer worked for them.

Family around the fire
This was the perfect place to stay and spend evenings around the fire. We loved that there was enough wood provided for multiple evenings, roasting marshmallows on the provided sticks, and space for five to sit around chatting. With two bedrooms and bath, the family had what was needed for the evening. Suggestion is to have one more red chair for the firepit--assume it recently needed to be replaced and just hadn't been yet :) Thanks to you and the property manager for being quick to respond during and after the rental process.

We had a really nice stay! It’s a quiet location and comfy cabin. Everything you’ll need is there. We made s’mores by the fire. Sat on the porch and took in the view. It was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Great Weekend Getaway!
My husband be I had a fantastic getaway for my birthday weekend! The house has everything you would need. View was stunning!!!!! Fire pit was great and wood was nice and dry (very little smoke, smelled fantastic). We will definitely stay again!
