I am a travel guide with a group of 9. When I checked in I asked if we can check out a day early from a 3 night booking. They said sure. Please inform staff in morning. When I asked in the morning they said Expedia has approve it. I did get approval from Expedia. They did not answer their phones so Expedia said they would get back to me. I checked out after two nights at 7 am. They informed me that they would refund if they got an email. So I had Expedia send them an email. Now they refuse to refund. They do not answer their phone lines. We tried over several days from our team and Expedia to call. One of guests even spoke personally with the manager who said they would refund when Expedia sends the email. He didn’t. Very unfortunate that they don’t stand by their word. We might of changed plans if we knew we could not get a refund. My next tour group I will find accommodations at a place I can trust. Dining staff was very nice. I have stayed in over 120 countries but when staff and management lie I can not continue to do business with them. I will be informing corporate as well about our situation. This happens unfortunately in many Muslim countries and Brazil. Gives Muslims a bad reputation. I don’t seem to find this type of behavior in western countries. Sad. Because I plan to bring more people to this area.
