Upon check-in, an interaction with the front desk staff member resulted in what I perceived as disrespectful treatment towards myself and my autistic children, seemingly stemming from a previous review I had submitted. This individual's demeanor and tone were unprofessional and, at times, appeared racially motivated.
Specifically, when obtaining a room key, the staff member's subsequent interactions, including a sarcastic remark about the pool being open despite its closure, felt targeted and inappropriate. This was particularly disappointing as the pool's availability is a significant factor in my choice to stay at this hotel. Furthermore, the purposeful closure of the pool, followed by the staff member's sarcastic comment, caused significant disappointment to my children.
Additionally, a request for an iron went unfulfilled for several hours. When my companion inquired, the staff member's change in demeanor and subsequent delay in providing the requested item were notable.
The overall experience, marked by perceived rudeness and unprofessionalism, especially towards my children with disabilities, is unacceptable. Given the staff's rude behavior and the deliberate inconvenience of the pool closure, I would appreciate a complimentary stay to compensate for this negative experience. I request that this matter be addressed appropriately.
