The Hampton Inn Channelside was a wonderful place that’s affordable for an option in the city with close proximity for walkable options. If you have a car with you, it’s a convenient location to go towards Ybor City, Hyde Park, and Seminole Heights. Water Street and the restaurants close to Amalie Arena were delicious. Beautiful architecture by the riverwalk. The pool in the hotel was really nice and clean with a beautiful view of the downtown skyline. The rooms were very clean, picked up everyday when needed, and the bathrooms were comfortable. There is noise from the traffic outside but the AC units drown out the sounds especially during the nighttime. Their breakfast changes everyday, offering options that will give you fuel for the day. The attached Starbucks is a plus for coffee in the morning. Across the street from a CVS and two Publix’s in the area. Lots of restaurant options with Sparkman Wharf and Old Downtown as part of the choices within walking distance. Overall it’s a great option that is wonderful value!
