“We stayed near end of season, atmosphere in the resort was rather tranquil, which we liked. Apartments and public areas are a little worn, but spacey and well-equipped. We even got an upgrade to a suite with a third bedroom (which we did not need as a family of 3, but overall we enjoyed the extra space). For wifi in the room we needed to rent a router, but the price of 1 Euro per day is moderate and quality was perfect. Access to the (public) beach is by a 1500m walk, but there is a small train……

The flat was very lovely, had what we needed and a nice covered patio. The local grocery store was a 5 min walk and well stocked. Day trips to Tavira were not expensive but you can’t walk from Cabanas to Tavira, it’s bus or taxi.
