“Had a one night stay following a trip to Hobbiton movie set. Stayed in chalet Frodo which is only a 10-15 min drive from Hobbiton.The chalet is very clean and well appointed. While quite compact it had everything the two of us required for an overnight stay. We had dinner at Osteria restaurant in the main centre which is only a 3 min drive away. Thoroughly recommend Osteria for quality of food, portion size , atmosphere and price”

The house was always clean and well maintained on each return; spacious and practically laid out; and well equipped to cater to all basic needs. Instructions for the house were clear and simple. Spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated, with a cosy living space, a kitchen that had everything you could ever need and the most comfortable bed that was like sleeping on a cloud. It was so close to everything for a day tripping but tucked away in a quiet and secluded spot that felt like a million miles from the bustle. Our host was so helpful with advice for local places to visit, eateries and their attention to detail……

“Stunning views from lounge/deck. I would describe this house as Retro kiwi bach style. It had everything we needed and was clean and tidy. Plenty of beds and 2 bathrooms (1up, 1 down) was great. Loved that we had access to beach from deck. Perfect for our holiday.”
