“Great hosts, welcoming and knowledgeable, comfy beds, fast wifi, amazing view from the table of the etsuary. Plenty of space for kids to run, manu off the wharf if you've got the guts! Horses roam freely here, be aware when driving in, a blessing to get a pat. Where puppies play on the tidal flats, they just love a belly scratch. The sky and stars were stunning most nights made it hard to want to go to bed. Its just never enough time, and so hard to leave the beautiful sunrises and sunsets……

“The Shell Cottage was a perfect accommodation for us for a few days while we explored the Aupouri Peninsula. The cottage was very clean, well stocked with everything we needed and right next door to grocery, take away, restaurant - and liquor!! Also loved walking down to the wharf every morning and at sunset to watch to world go by. Lisa was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend!!”
