“A very well-presented house (polished floors, retro-stylish decor, with an emphasis on "shed" implements etc) with a beautiful and ever-changing wide view across an arm of the harbour - offering both location and comfort/style... a great place just to hang out and relax, and watch the kōtare/kingfishers and piwakawaka/fantails. FYI, the two bedrooms are curtained alcoves from the main room, so low on aural privacy. Extremely clean. Absolutely Superb!”

“This property was very unique and a great place to stay, especially after visiting the Hobbiton Movie Set earlier in the day. The rooms did smell a little like “Middle Earth” when we arrived, but the fans were running and the owners were obviously trying to deal with the problem which was much appreciated. “Beautiful location, grounds and cabin. So close to glow worm caves and have their own little glow worm grotto on the property. Only a 60 second walk from the cabins. “My family stayed here for two nights. This location is just around the corner from the caves, but is secluded. An excellent place to stay to avoid the crowds. The hostess responds fairly quickly to questions. I highly recommend going on the farm tour if you can - the tour is usually included for people staying at one of the hostess's properties, and includes the opportunity to meet sheep, cows, goats, alpacas, emus, and ostriches. “This was one of our favourite stays in New Zealand. The view of the surrounding farms, treed hills, and mountains was stunning.
