“We had a really poor experience…
1) The bathrooms and washing areas were smelling bad / extremely unclean… the taps were all fully dark and rusty
2) very salty water provided for all washing / bathing.
3) extremely un-friendly staff who were showing absolutely no interest in the welfare of the guests.
4) It was extremely hot during day time, so we asked them to switch on the AC and they said AC will be available only from 9pm.
5) We bought some expensive prawns from the shop they took as to ,……

“We booked a premium room but the room given was completely different to the photos provided. Address was different to what was given on here. Had to wait over an hour for check in time evenknow we arrived within check in time. When we asked about the room being premium we were ignored.
On boat staff were fine and accomodating which is the reason I didnt give a lower rating. We ended up booking another place for the second night because we were so disappointed.

“These houseboats are not the ones featured in the pictures. It was a different company from the advertised Northstar, it is rather Coco houseboats. The first boat offered to us was awful with no comfortable seating area and the bedrooms were dismal with dirty linen. We complained and were given a second larger boat with marginally better seating, however on inspection of the bedrooms we were appalled by the state of the bedroom. “What a wonderful place, very beautiful and relaxing.
Accommodation absolutely top notch, staff even better.
Having stayed in several highly rated 5 star hotels during our month long tour of India we felt this to be the best.
If you're looking for the backwater experience in true comfort and style then this gives you that.
We hired a day boat which picked us up from the bottom of the garden.
We spent the evenings watching the boats go by and the chinese fishing nets being used. Realy all one……

“The food on the trip was amazing. We were able to stop and the purchase king prawns and fish and the staff fried it for us. The boat was clean and had been recently refurbished. The owner was responsive to our emails. The trip was overall an enjoyable experience for our family. It's great to see the life along the communities as you slowly move along the back waters.”

“Stayed here for 5 days with extended family for my niece’s wedding. We had the entire property to ourselves. Ramachandran Nair and his staff went out of their way to ensure our every need was met. We hosted a couple of parties here as well and had the pleasure of catering food from the kitchen. It was like a home away from home. Delicious food. Only improvement I would like to see is moe diligent cleaning. The pool is large and beautiful but could be better maintained. We had a blast!”

“We had a great stay at Shamil's villa, a comfortable and spacious property with easy access to the beach.
Shamil is an excellent host and responded quickly to any questions or queries during our stay. Varghese, the caretaker, also lives nearby and is always happy to help.
It was easy to contact a recommended tuk tuk driver and visit local restaurants, shops etc. We particularly recommend a day boat trip to the backwaters during your stay.”
