“We were made to feel very welcome. The food is excellent, local suppliers clearly listed. Extensive wine list.
Outside area for drinks and dinner is attractive.
Very friendly staff
We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in the area. ”
“Wonderful property, staff amazing.
Only "gripes" are - four poster bed is a *little* small, it's the equivalent of a small double bed. Also, the shower doesn't have much power.
It's an older, historical property, so do factor that into a stay.
As highlighted above though, the staff were brilliant, and the (included) breakfast was sublime.
We will be back! 👍”
“The Plough is a good class pub with clean, modern rooms. What makes them special is that it's such a friendly place to stay and the pub food is excellent. We were there for five days and I could have done with a few more to work my way through the menu. We'll also certainly miss their breakfasts.
It is situated well for visiting Norwich and the Norfolk Coast.
It's true that you can hear the busy road with the window open, but hey, life's a compromise and we'll happily take that.”
“Chose for location, along the North Norfolk Coastal path. Nice room with lots of amenities. Good breakfast, with choices other than just a full English. ”
“We had a lovely two night stay at the hotel, our accommodation was in the Garden Cottage. Friendly, helpful staff. Looking forward to our next visit.”
“A fabulous hotel. We had a very warm welcome and the owners couldnt do enough to accommodate us.
The room was beautifully decorated , clean and comfortable.
Nice big mugs for tea and coffee aand spares in the corridor if needed which was a thoughtful touch.
The breakfast was continental (cooked only available on the Sunday morning) but was sufficient and nicely presented.
Would definitely recommend and stay again. Thank you Neil and Heather

“Lovely room. Ours was at the top, it was a hot night and heat rises! We did have the windows open but it’s quite a busy road so lots of road noise. The blind also let in a lot of light too and if light sensitive there was a bright green light shinning in the ceiling. Bed very comfortable as were the pillows. Restaurant packed and the food was good. I had the roast and my husband had the mutton curry - huge potions. Staff very helpful and smiley but rushed off their feet. ”
“We booked a long bank holiday weekend at the very last minute and were not disappointed. Very tranquil location so the town isn't really walkable unless you are super fit although only minutes from town in a car. But the hotel more than made up for that. Very traditional which made you feel like you were stepping back in time. The staff were all super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We couldn't fault the room. Very comfortable Super kingsize bed in quite a large room, which also had a……
