“The beach Villa was nice. Unfortunately 6 out of 7 days were gale force winds. Their was only 2 afternoons I could sit outside to enjoy a glass of wine and swim in the pool. Improvements definately need to be looked at. For executive villa I would have expected a nice bath tub to relax, a small area of fencing for dog so they don't run down to the beach and get eaten by Croc.The hallway light didn't work from the downstairs,Microwave door didn't close(had to slam it shut).Upstairs bathroom tiles……

“The communication and ease of booking is excellent . The house is clean and has a lovely look over the beach . It was windy while we were there . I’m not sure if that is usual and you can’t swim in the beach due to crocodiles however it’s stunnng to wake to the sound and look of waves . Great managers of the property! Also no blinds and doors are not solid so you can hear everything”

“Thank you Unfortunately the photos on the internet are property staged, stylised and interiorly decorated. They present a warm inspiring house. The reality is quite different unfortunately. The house is grotty, the furnishings and some fittings (both indoors and outdoors) are old, dirty, mismatched both in style and colour with random pieces of mismatched furniture throughout. The bed covers are worn and old, all the cushions are worn and old and even dirty. Many wall hangings have been removed……

“Grandparents from down south catching up with Queensland children and grandchild. Perfect for what we needed, lots of thoughtful extras such as games for us all to play, not just the one child. Everything we needed for meal prep, and such a quiet location with beach access,plus the pool for the times when the beach is windy. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you.”

“Newell Beach is the perfect distance from Port Douglas. Close enough to get to it when you need to, but far enough away from the crowds that it feels like your own piece of paradise. The house is wonderfully open and light with a huge deck overlooking the pool and beach. We had breakfast there most days. When the weather was less kind, the kitchen and living areas are huge and have pretty much everything you could want. I highly recommend it”

“It's a really beautiful spot and the house is beautiful too. Mostly as advertised, but not quite, On arrival, you find that it's solar powered and water is rainwater so you're asked not to use any electrical appliances, minimise use of wi-fi and minimise water usage. Eco credentials are commendable but the limitations should be made clear before you book and pay top dollar. There is no washing machine (cos it would use too much power) although booking sites said there was one. Photos of the pool……

“We loved our time at Sky bungalow! It was so peaceful that we chose to have two days of staying in, reading, relaxing in the hot tub, bird and butterfly watching and just hanging out. Convenient to Port Douglas where we did some excellent snorkeling and some ocean swimming. Easy trip to Mosman Gorge for a nice cool swim. Would love to stay here again someday! ”
