“It is a well-appointed flat, and it's decorated nicely, and soon feels like a home-away-from-home. Flat 1 is in a building attached to Thorpeness Country Club, directly across from a fine shingle beach. You have good-quality cookware (some Le Creuset), and extras like crackers to open lobsters (can be bought cooked/chilled in nearby Orford). “Only downside, when we arrived at 8.30pm, there was only 5 beds made up and no bedding for number 6. On contacting the emergency number we were informed bedding would be delivered in the morning!! Luckily the Country club was able to give us some. The cottage hadn't been thoroughly checked for first holiday makers as the shower drains smelt for first use. The rest of the week was lovely, excellent situation and use of tennis courts invaluable with 3 children. We had beautiful weather all week……

“Everything we needed was provided. We did bump our heads a couple of times on the low door frames and had to take care upstairs, because of the different levels of steps. We purchased a weekly parking permit to park in the public parking area by the rec center. When we needed to load/unload it was challenging at times to navigate the car down the narrow street, especially with some parked cars sticking further out. Overall though a lovely cottage.”

“House was absolutely ideal for us -- small but perfectly proportioned and walking distance to everything. Parking directly outside the house was a challenge most days but we could always find a space a short distance down the road. House is cozy, clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended -- we would definitely stay there again! One caution -- the stairs are extremely steep and would likely be a challlenge for anyone with mobility issues.”

“We have had a great week. Our first stay at Woodbridge and we really enjoyed being able to leave the car and walk into town for supplies and meals out. Fab walks and trips to various places along the Suffolk coast...Minsmere, Aldeburgh, Thorpness, Orford as well as river walk in Woodbridge. We found the house comfortable, with enough pots and pans etc...for our needs. Upstairs bathroom was a little unusual but it worked! Some proper wine glasses needed.”
